For the first time this season I believe that Reef is being detrimental to the team.

He needs to get better. He's just not doing any good out there.

I agree. I like SAR & love the dedication that makes him want to be out there in spite of his injury... but I think he needs to get healthy. I'd rather have him rest & recuperate so he can get back to 100% faster.

Nah. I don't think so.

I think he's shown his desire to play and that shows heart... no one can rag him for that. Heck - he's the first guy in 20+ years to play with his jaw wired shut. That's something.

But, I'm watching him get worse and worse since coming back. Being the type of player that he is ... having his jaw wired shut couldn't be good and it's showing.

Gavin Maloof interview at halftime on radio:

- Maloofs sat down with Ron personally and talked with him about playing for the Kings, and afterwards, the trade went down
- Artest one of top 5 or 10 talents in the world
- acquiring Artest is a risk, but Maloofs are risk-takers
- wishes Peja well in the future (but Maloofs have not reached out to talk to Peja yet as deal was just finalized two hours ago)
- Ron was really giddy about joining the Kings, loves the excitement that Arco has, and Ron wants to get back on the court and play basketball
- Ron will be in Boston; may or may not play
- Ron did not indicate what type of basketball shape he was in
- Kings will welcome Ron with open arms, will treat him like family.
- Ron had question with his family being comfortable in Sacramento
- CWebb arrival compared; Bonzi arrival compared -- hopefully Artest acquisition turns out in a similar fashion
- Kings giving Ron a second chance -- forget the past, look to the future
- Kings are trying to find out what type of team it is now; can only acquire a player with Artest's talent once in a lifetime (usually through the draft if you're the worst team in the league)

I don't agree with all of that. I mean yeah it would be better for us if he was 100% so that he can run around more... and not defend/rebound. But hitting open jump shots is a different matter. I think that KT is getting comfortable starting and that SAR may is back early to try to keep his starting job. This temporary pressure coupled with not being able to breathe is why he isn't shooting well IMHO.

My faith in the Kings organization is really going downhill. I just realized the saddest thing of all - I'm becoming more like Piksi everyday. ;)

usually, people say that 'addmiting" is a first step of recovery - but in this case - it is terminal;)
