On February 3rd Kings beat Wolves on the road 112 - 107 to improve to 36 - 10 record for the season. Webber lead the Kings with 31/14, Mike had 24 and 5 assists and Pedja had 21 and 6 assists. Vlade added 11/4 and DC had 8 assists. Hedo had 10 rebounds and Bobby had 12 pts of the bench.

Since serving a one-game suspension on Thursday, Webber has come back with a vengeance, scoring 60 points and grabbing 26
rebounds in his last two contests. The All-Star power forward made 13-of-25 shots and was at his best down the stretch.

"We are not playing to have little moral victories here and there," Webber said. "We have bigger goals now. You should be proud of any time you win here but those are not our goals now."

--------------------------------------------------------------
Kings 19 - 26 had some home cooking to stop a losing streak and recover from that pathetic road trip. Kings still in a bad shape continuing to be the last in the Pacific and 4 games out of the play off. Schedule is not getting easier and Kings need some momentum and soon. There are some signs of life there, but we have been there several times this season.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Things kinda slow after a crazy week but they just might pick up soon considering that we are only 3 weeks away from the trade deadline. You never know. So C. Anderson got suspended for 2 years for "violating drug policy." Suddendly, the dunk competition from last all star game start making sense;). Maybe it was the only way for the NBA to prevent it from happening again. Pacers beat lakers behind the power of the "BEAT LA" thread. Despite a poor participation - it was enough for Lakers to lose and it did not even need any help from Odom. Always nice to see Lakers lose - to bad it doesn't happen all the tome. Anyways, the thread is universal and battle tested and will be recalled to duty 3 weeks from now.

And, there is an all star game coming up but nobody really cares
----------------------------------------------------------------
As it was to be expected the "blame torch" is getting passed on another OUR player - Brad in this case. Why do we need all of this is beyond my comprehension. We have almost traded everything that has been great around here. Pretty soon fans will ask for a trade of the ball boys and the ushers. I, personally am drawing the line at the court dancers. They bring it every night. Leave them alone.
Losing is hard and it sucks but it doesn't excuse certain behaviour. We had an amasing team and we have gotten rid of almost everyone that played on it. It will not stop untill Mike and Brad are gone too. This is a small market team and good players are hard to get. We just don't seam to care.
---------------------------------------------------------------
As our health situation hopefully improves, out bench consisting of all the players that have been playing lately, should give us a steady production in a 20 - 30 pts range which will transform in more wins. We still have big issues on a positions of backup PG and a backup big man. Hart has not given us what we needed and watching Corliss play a center makes me sick. If we can establish a nice steady 9 man rotation of some king it would help a lot. Unfortunately, it might not have enough time left this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Nuggets were the right victim after the ugly road trip. The win makes it either 19 or 20 straight wins against them at ARCO. Very solid game, great effort and a good win. Kevin Martin was very one dimensional with 25 pts in 18 minutes. He did not do anything else;). No TDM awards were given away this time. Kings won the battle on the boards - but then again Bonzi is back.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Would be nice if we can beat jazz to start a winning streak considering that we play the following 3 at ARCO. Jazz always play hard and physical, only, this time - we might not mind that much. They are solid at home and we will have to play well for 48 minutes. There sure will be several interesting matchups to watch. i predict several technical and flagrant fouls and an ejection.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Mike - we won despite a quiet game but mike will have to gives us more in order to win this one
Brad - get well soon and no layup drills please
SAR - pretty soon he will have a "super model" weight. I sure hope that he gets better soon
Bonzi - nice to have him back.
Ron - keep the pills coming. Prozac, valium, Zoloft - I don't care as long as it works
---------------------------------------------------------------
Kevin - maybe not 25 every night but at least 24.
KT - the turnovers are driving me nutts lately. Other than that - solid
Cisco - like a "box of chocolate' - never know what You going to get
Corliss - backup center - oh boy.
Skinner - I thought he might play more but hey what do I know.
Hart - having a nice vacation in the RA's doghouse. Hey, it is a 5 star doghouse after all
Price - not there yet
Sampson - never will be there.
---------------------------------------------------------------
RA - will most probably finish the season as a Kings coach
---------------------------------------------------------------
jazz are solid and Kirilenko will cause plenty of havoc on both ends of the court. Okur is having a career year. Milt Palacio will have a chance to defend TDM award that he won in a spectacular way the last time . This time my favorite is Mcleod Humphries might have an outside shot. We should still win this.

Kings win

Skinner with 6-8 pts, 8-10 boards, 3-5 blks, 3 ast.

Hart strained his knee in practice last week, haven't heard or read of him in his dog-house though.

I thought is was a sprained knee. If it is than I could see him being out quite awhile. I haven't heard anything at all on him either.

Great post, piksi! I especially liked the above paragraph, particularly the line that I bolded. Nice job, friend!

Ron Artest vs. AK47 looks like an interesting matchup.
ak47 is a great defensive player...he gives ron more fits than probably anyone else in the league, because of his length....ron has had success taking it straight to the hoop and overpowering him...

ak isnt the hardest guard for ron because ron is able to generally keep him out of the paint...and unless hes hitting his outside shot, which is not that consistent, hes not a huge problem....in most cases ron prevails...

im interested to see how the kings play d on the jazz....im interested to see who they start at the 5th position....i wouldnt be shocked, especially if the kings start SAR instead of skinner, to see some odd matchups...even with ron guarding okur and sar guarding ak....okur likes to spend his time on the perimeter and ak isnt the hardest guy to defend, so i could see a scenario where SAR defends AK47 and ron defends okur, as crazy as it might sound...

if ak guards ron, bonzi should have a field day in the post...

the key is keeping the jazz off the boards....

rebounding...rebounding...rebounding...

Didn't you say that last game? :p

Denver game Rick finally sounded a little more realistic, kind of down on SAR's current ability to contribute (said he had lost explosion) and may have even had a kind word for Brian. So, who knows.

And that right there is the most important thing that can be said about this game. We cannot get destroyed on the boards or we are most likely doomed.

I was... and SAR did not do much to make me happy he got the nod... heck the All Shire line up with Corless at the 5 was more productive ;)
I think SAR could probalby use some rest and the 2 days off may be enough, but dam that boy is begining to look like Keyon Clark out there (in body only)

Kings own the Jazz.....it's like the big brother syndrome. I see the Kings taking this game going away. Expect a big night from Bibby and Bonzi, Artest will have a solid all around game and Skinner will see significant minutes. 94-82 Kings.

Interestingly since it's the Jazz and that means the game will be very physical. This is where Skinner can shine and unfortuantly the incredible shrinking SAR may have a tough go of it. Look for more Nasty and against the Jazz that's a good thing ;)

Agreed - I think Kings take both against the Jazz, barring an injury, etc. As stated above, We've played well against them recently.

I'm all geeked up about this game, It will be my first and probably only game of the year that I will be able to attend and I am pumped to see Artest in action with Bonzi healthy (or getting there). I'm a little dissappointed that SAR and Brad aren't healthy, but still pumped about the game. Looking forward to a tough/physical game.

I'll be there cheering on the Kings as loud as I can, pray I don't get beat up.

If you get beat up by a bunch of Mormons....well, I wouldn't be showing my face around here anymore. :p

As far as making the playoffs we need to win these two against Utah.

One note the person that made the Kings schedule should be fired.

GO KINGS!!!

I think there's something about sports that makes Mormons crazy. I say that from years and years of experience. Then again, it may not just be Mormons. Either way, I'll be there with a girl and it's never cool to fight when there are girls around.

Oh, come now -- it will give you a chance to bravely defend her honor, and maybe she will kiss your booboo after you get popped in the mouth. :D (assuming/hoping this is not a sister we are talking about  ).
