When you got up this morning and looked out the window, what did you see?

That running shot off one foot by BMac not unlike much farther out shot that upset his KU Jayhawks on buzzer beater by Colorado today in Boulder.

Can't is a very strong word.
Sometimes strong words are appropriate.
He's done it effectively before. We haven't seen it as much this season to even judge.
His inability to make entry passes down the stretch on a consistent basis says otherwise. I don't want Cousins camped at free throw line extended, waiting for Thomas to drive and kick it back out to him. I want him posted on the block, waiting for that entry pass. Thomas has shown, throughout his career, that he's not good at that.

So that is now the way we judge someones ability to play with someone else? entry passes?

Thomas is short. We're never going to be able to fix that. And it's not like he doesn't get it in there. He certainly gets the pass to Cousins more than he doesn't. The bad ones obviously stick out.

I'll take the guy who can shoot and defend with a slightly less effective entry pass over the guy who can't do a whole lot .. but throw a mean entry pass!

You guys have a lot more will power than me.. not proud of the fact that I am caught up in the tank and wasn't sure who to pull for at the end.. I just have to remember that the lottery and selecting players out of the draft is not a perfect system, and if the Bucks and Jazz are worse than us that is just the way it is. The development of the team is most important

Yes they are.

The records indicate otherwise.. At some point you have to ask yourself just how good the Kings really are, when all these other so-called tanking teams have better records than we do. The Kings ARE better than the Jazz, but not by that great a margin. We barely beat them playing without one of their best players thanks to a game-tying 3 by McLemore

You call the last two years effective?

More effective than the 4-13 record Cousins and Vasquez have led this team to, yes.

And I didn't say they are always effective. I didn't say it was perfect. I just think saying they can't play together suggests they .. can't. Which they can. They have. They won tonight playing together.

IT managed to have a great statistical game while also revealing his limitations.

I'm sure there will be no arguments about that fact.

So that is now the way we judge someones ability to play with someone else? entry passes?
Uh... yeah. When it comes to point guards, the ability of a point guard to get the ball to the star player, where the star is most effective is, in fact, the way we judge that point guard's ability to play with that star.

For whatever else he can't do, Vasquez does that better than anybody else we've got on the team, by a lot.

It's a bit ridiculous isn't it? At some point, the excuses are going to run out

So that's what it looks like.

Whoooooooot!

Thomas mildly struggles with entry passes. Seriously? that is where we draw the line?

But the other guy's inability to shoot or defend is totally ok because he has a .. 10% higher entry pass success rate? 20%? it realistically can't be much higher than that.

Well there you go. You don't need us to tell you different. You got it all figured out.

I purposefully didn't log in for this thread tonight. I wanted to just sit back and watch the game. And you know what? I enjoyed it. I love watching Ben come into his own. That alone is worth the price of admission, as the old saying goes.

Being a Kings fan used to be a lot simpler. We just rooted for our team to win. Now it seems all too often the simple joy of the game is lost in all the "X is horrible" and "Y is no good" and "W needs more minutes!" stuff. I love you guys but it just seems like some of you are afraid to find any enjoyment out of the game for fear it will be taken away or something...

I LOVE THIS TEAM!
