Kings inquire about Batum - Jason Jones

Hard to imagine there aren't half a dozen teams ready to make offers but I can't imagine we'd be able to land a higher profile coach. Still young but 11 years of experience.

Instead, Nene was traded as a straight salary dump. Obvious Den wanted to dump him. Both Mcgee and Turiaf are off the books this summer. With our cap space, we can't even get involved in salary dumps like that?

Nene was just given away. So was Wallace. The exact type of players we need.

I would NOT swap Nene and Cousins. So I agree with Petrie passing. Perhaps Denver wasn't interested in our other players.

Rainy, are you sure those are salary dumps?

Denver gets Mcgee, who is one of the up and coming big men.

Portland gets New Jersey's lottery pick

Turiaf is an expiring. Mcgee has a QO of 3.5M, but was quoted this week as saying he's asking for 14M per, because he's a headcase. Nene was locked up through 2016. Yes, I'd say it's a straight salary dump.

NJ sent Por expirings, and a future protected 1st rounder, not this years pick. So yes, two salary dumps.

New Jersey's pick is reported to be 2012 draft pick, and only protected in top 3. It's going to be a high lottery pick. Portland made out good on this deal.

Maybe Denver do plan on resigning Mcgee but to a lesser salary than Nene.

I read it was a future, protected pick on ESPN, and this years(top 3 protected) on hoopshype. So I could be wrong.
