Thompson just can't play defense. He couldn't handle Beasley, and a hobbled O'neal was beating him. I just can't understand why so many people use any excuse to hate on Hawes when Thompson is guilty of the SAME things, namely: being soft around the basket and not being able to defend a mailbox. Thompson is just as expendable as Hawes.
