My biggest concern is that the effort just hasn't been there the last few weeks. That needs to be fixed. Win or lose, this team use to always play hard. Now its mostly Tyreke and Brock playing hard.

As much as I like Kevin, he got his 25 or whatever and we still scored 8 off our average. We need a more aggressive SG on defense and a better passer than him. We need a good big man. I think his time here is up. Package him with one of Thompson or Hawes for a legit big man.

Free agent Joe Johnson?

Westphal is starting to remind me of my grandfather, if you don't mind me being a little gnomic. My grandfather is, by far, the best cook I know. But he just can't leave well enough alone. He'll serve an amazing dish, and get the proper compliments, so he serves it again next time the family gets together, but he tweaks it a little. And then a little more, and eventually, it'll be nowhere near as good as you remember it being.

My point being, he should think strategically. Pick a lineup that you believe in in the long run, and make it work. Don't keep tweaking it from one game to the next.

Our team is getting pushed around day in and day out. It's like the other teams "camp out" under our hoop for half the game. Seriously, have any of you noticed that? It's even more ridiculous when we don't grab loose balls after they miss the first time. Like tonight.

Imagine if some of the ingrediants he uses come out differently every time he uses them. That would complicate things wouldn't it? We have guys on this team that Westphal has no idea what to expect from on a game to game basis. That makes his job extremely difficult.

Good point, DeaconBlues. I just hope we get out of this funk soon...

no doubt. he plays with each players confidence like its a toy, playing them one game then not at all the next?. I'll give him props for bringing this team together at the beggining of the year. but really his coaching job has not been that good for the last month. bad rotations, bad timeouts, terrible 4th quarter line-ups. I dont think ive seen evans start the 4th once for the last month. no he lets the other team go on a 10-0 run then decides to put evans in to try and be the hero.

well we have been horrible all year on the road...so im assuming next time we play in sac we will get out of this funk....we cant win for the life of us on the road.

How can you expect the the players themselves know what to expect when they don't know if they'll start or even be in the rotation, and for how long?

He's not a big man. He'd have the same problem on this team IMO, having 2 guards taking the majority of the shots is a problem. Really we need a big man.

I agree I think Tyreke/Kmart is fine we do need a dominate power forward.

I like SAR alot but I dont think he is helping our problem as a big man coach.

I mentioned strategy.

This isn't the Euroleague where you play 23 games and every single one counts. In the NBA you get to play the averages. At this point in the season he should have his rotation settled, even accounting for injuries.

Haha, I'll bet a lot of Seattle fans share your view

wow... that was interesting... but on a positive note we didnt have that many turnovers and had 24 assists as a team. had 4 players with 4 assists or more... the downside was our rebounding was horrible.

True that is part of it, and Omri and Donte can use that as an excuse. But Spencer has played his way out of the lineup by being extremely inconsistent. JT has started every game this season, and has also been very inconsistent lately. I'm not blaming Westphal at all for shuffling Spencer in and out of the lineup. Spencer is the one to blame.

The Omri and Donte situation is different since Kevin returned. We have too many wings, and we all new finding playing time would be a nightmare situation for Westphal. Has Westphals coaching been perfect? No. But thats not an excuse for JT, Spencer, Noc, and others being so inconsistent. The players have to shoulder some of the blame.
