[Game] Kings @ Hawks - 12/18/13 - 4 p.m. PST

Vlade was always a great passer. In fact, most Serbian big men are good passers; otherwise, you usually won't play for a good European team at any age level.
You still don't get it.

At 22, Vlade averaged 1.1 APG.

At 23, he average 2.5 APG.

At 24, 2.8 APG.

Cuz right now is at 3 APG with a lot less talent around him.

I have noticed in the last few days people acknowledging they only read the first parts of a post. I admit to that sometimes but I sure won't comment on a note I haven' read.

Can't always see everything ;)

I don't think APG are an indication of how good of a passer someone is. Sure, it usually does but you can't compare those types of stats when comparing big men. Vlade also averaged way less minutes and he didn't get as many touches as Cousins. Lets be honest here, Cousins gets a touch every single time the Kings have the ball.

Anyway, another game that had the potential to get ugly and we managed to hang tough. 13-25 from IT-Gay-Cousins. About exactly where we want those guys to be. Big difference tonight is we are getting some help from the other guys. Ben, Jimmer, and Williams combined for 17 on 12 shots. If we tighten up our 3pt defense, we got a good shot at pulling this one out. Can't allow Korver and Milsap so many open looks

Proof Vlade was a better passer than Cousins even in his first year in the NBA:

Again with the superlatives... Don't say you weren't warned. You're making this a lot tougher on yourself than you need to.

The VF in my user name stands for VladeFan. I am arguably the biggest Vlade fan on this board, and have been for a very long time. Vlade is the past. Cousins is the present and the future. You cannot compare the two because the times are different. The game is different. The NBA is different.

Vlade had his moment and our love and respect for him is reflected in the jersey hanging in the rafters. To try and deny that DMC could easily have a career that enables him to share that honor at some point in the future is just ignorant.

Yep....that's proof alright

Dude, JUST FREAKING STOP. The only thing you're going to do is cause a lot of people to take shots at Vlade and his game. Is that really what you're hoping to accomplish.

Let it go. This is the game thread for the Dec. 18, 2013 game between the Kings and the Atlanta Hawks. If you want to argue Vlade vs. DMC, which I think might arguably be the dumbest debate ever created, this isn't the place to do it.

So basically Atlanta has no respect for Shaq? LOL! Love the fact he's just basically seat jumping. Makes you wonder if he had a ticket to begin with. :p

D-MAC is my favorite Kings player. I don't see where I said that Cousins won't end up as good as Vlade if not better. Plus, they are two different types of players. You can't compare them. However, if we are discussing the best passing big man, Cousins will never amount to Vlade. Cousins is more comparable to Webber. Even then, Webber's passing was phenomenal.

Who's D-MAC? i must have missed one of the latest "nickname" memos...

True, it does weigh considerably into this though.

My guess is more than a few of those assists went to Chris Mullin while Cuz was passing to Omri/Cisco/Donte.
Webber was in Washington at 23; those passes were going to Tracey Murray and Tim Legler.

I'm sorry, I didn't know it was against the rules to give a King's player a new nickname, master.

So Teague basically every single play goes right around IT and then passes it to whatever wide open teammate he chooses....
