Hall of Famer
Kings as expected lost to the Spurs and dropped to 31-37 for the season and 10-25 on the road. Kings had their mini winning streak snapped and tomorrow night they will try to avoid a losing streak in Memphis.Kings are still 13th worst in the NBA and that will not change so it is one thing less to worry about. Kin gs are on the 3 game road trip in the Southwest division with a game in Memphis tomorrow and visit to Houston on Monday.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
With so called March madness not many people even care for NBA games that are supposed to be good. Surely no one wants to watch Kings. It make sense. Everyone would rather watch a pathetic college team score 29 points in a game while allowing 70 than a game where professionals play. Even the worst NBA game is higher quality than the best college game. Not even close. And yet one can't even turn TV on without being annoyed by all this hype. Very overrated. Even a solid euroleague team would beat this college teams. It is like watching summer league basketball.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since we are playing in Memphis - I have to take some time to express my admiration for the worst front line in history of the NBA. Darko, Jason and Kwarme only miss Mikki to play bridge;). It takes skills to acquire such assets. Grizzlies are already playing in front of their closest family members and couple of friends that they have left. Now You add this overwhelming talent and it isn't even fair. Now, their college team wouldn't be much worse than Grizzlies. They would probably score more than 29 but still lose by 40.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair - our front line isn't anything to brag about especially since Brad is hurt. They way that he has been playing as of late together with Mikki and Sheldon & Spencer in limited minutes - tomorrow should be a blast. At least Hakeem Warrick will have a field day. You take Darko and Kwarme out and most of those other guys were really good college players. Just one more example how big the difference is.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Since our owner(s) expressed desire to keep Ron Artest - his faith as a King is seals. He will join Webber, Pedja & co - who found out painfully what it really means. Generally, it doesn't even matter what they are saying now with season winding down and us going nowhere. The summer will be long and painful and we will hear many fairy tales even more than we did until now. In fact - if there is a big enough masochist amongst us to keep a "diary" about things like that and report it after the summer break - we should be entertained.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
As expected - we had no shot in San Antonio. Spurs played well enough to never give us a shot of winning. We did okay for most of the game but against their defense - we looked clueless and hopeless on offense shooting less than 39%. We couldn't stop them enough and we had 11 assists on 11 turnovers. The most surprising stat is the one that says how they shot FTs better than us. We will play them again at ARCO in the 2 last day of the regular season and if we are healthy - it will be a different game

AWARD TIME

Vaughn of all people won the TDM for his 11/7 which might even be his game of the season but then again - A.J. was on the other side
LW-VC went to Flopibili because he usually goes for 25+ against us.
Brad gets JHA for hid pathetic performance - hurt or not
WTF moment of the game - the way that Kevin was utilized all night
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grizzlies are next and they haven't won much since they beat us last time. They just beat the Knicks and have a chance for a rare winning streak. It is a game between the thirds best and the second worst lottery team ot on other words - the game that no one cares for. All 15 fans are expected to attend unless Grizzlies go up 20 just like the last time. In that case the other 10000 will show up too. Since they beat us over a month ago they only won 3 more games but they have won 2 out of the last 3 so that pretty much means - they are hot. We will see the battle of titans on the front lines and 250+ point as it is expected that all defense will be called illegal.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beno - get well soon
Brad - take a break
Ron - almost gone
Kevin - one day soon they will give You the ball
Mikki - well ...

Kids need to play more'
Dinosaurs need to play less.

Coach T - let the kids play - You aren't getting to .500 this season
------------------------------------------------------------------
Memphis @ 17-51 and 12-22 at home is having a great season helping the lakers to suck less and helping themselves to suck beyond describable. They have won 2 games in March already which is twice as many as they did in February but then again February is shorter. Their best player is Gay as in Rudy Gay. Miller has been good and he hasn't have a triple double in a while. Warrick will kill us. Navarro will win the TDM. LW-VC will go to gay. Rest of the awards will be split by the trio fantastico. I can see us lose this one.

We got to look at Williams, Douby, and Hawes... Sure enough Hawes is the only one of the three with starter potential.

Although Douby will be a fine bench player if he learns to become more consistent.

Well, for weeks and weeks many have been saying they want to see the "kids" play. Tonight they did play and still some seem discontent because they did not win. I thought there was some real positives with Spencer Hawes. Glad to see Williams play too. Doesn't make any difference to me who plays--I hate to lose. No complaining though, it is what it is. I don't think Ron Artest was too injured to play--he decides when he wants to play or not--gurrr. We are going to renew our season tickets this week and just the thought of another year of Mr. Artest------------------. Annie.

I liked the game for the simple reason I had no delusions about the Kings pulling it out with three starters in street clothes.

We're seeing the beginning of something really special with Spencer Hawes and possibly even Shelden Williams. Martin is continuing to learn and refine his game and Cisco is almost as exciting to watch as Bobby Jackson.

They showed heart and hustle, they just couldn't do the impossible. And I don't care... at least they tried.

Then I guess Miller was faking it too considering Ron atleast had surgery on that elbow earlier in the year.

I have to admit, I was not in favor of Hawes, however, he might be ok. As for Williams and Douby....I am not impressed at all. All season long I have read nothing but people wanting to see young people and watch them develop, etc. I know the Kings are in a rebuilding process. Although I am not saying this is good or bad, its hurting tickets sales. Maybe this will be like this for the next several years. People say they want the Kings to have heart, however, I haven't see ONE single sold out game this year and I felt the Kings have showed heart many times. The bottom line is people want a good product....NOW. PERIOD. Otherwise we would still be selling out every game. There's barely 12,000 people attending games.

I no longer have the luxury of throwing away almost $3700 for season tickets only to watch a similar team next season.

I will still root for the Kings but just not shelling out money just for the sake of shelling out money only to watch a product that won't be good for several more years or longer.

Oh by the way, Happy Easter.
