After 4 game winning streak Kings showing their elevator capacity by statring a quick 3 game losing streak with losing back to back set in Texas. Kings 5-7 and 1-5 on the road were @ .500 and even above for a brief moment of the season. Now it is all about sustaining that effort while getting healthy. If Kings manage to win in Memphis they will have another realistic chance to brak even on the upcoming 4 game home stand involving plenty of 'New" opponents always good to lift the confidence as the "News" are coming in with the combined 9-32 record + Indianas 5-6. However it is concerning that the Nets don't have a win and if they don't get one before we play them - we will be in trouble.

Tyreke Evans missed his first game due to injury. It took only 11 games. While it won't be anything very serious hopefully, it is typicall and a prewiev of things to come in his career. When you play for Kings and you are important player - you will eventually be hurt. Hell, even A.C. Green would miss at least 100 games in his career if he played for us.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
With Kevin, Cisco and Reke out we are missing some 60 pts, 10rb, 10as, 5st and 10 TOs. While we have enough players who are more than capable of compensating for the missing turnovers - we severely lack the backcourt depth. Combining it with the chronical lack of frontcourt depth - it is impressive that Kings somehow manage to be competetive in all their games mostly due to the grat coaching. We can only assume how it would look if everyone was healthy but since that will never happen - what is the point?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kenny Thomas scored a point against the Rockets. After the explosive performances against Jazz and Thunder where he had 4 points each time - the wet dream of every fantasy basketball player has been quiet. The former triple double machine whose contract has been expiring for the last decade or so has been going under radar as 3rd best rebounder and shot blocker despite limited but not limited enough minutes. In the offense his teammates are treating him like he has the swine flu. The fact that we aren't running any plays for him is really limiting his ability to dominate on all ends of the bench( ups I meant floor obviously;). Kenny is playing one of his last 10 seasons as a Kings and due to the fact that we are too slow, too short and too soft under the basket he is getting some playing time. Hopefully, some drunk GM on crack wiil notice it and realize it that he is worthy of a draft pick with his presence, flexibility and veteran leadership he could lead the Nets to 5 victories even in this season. If you think that it is impossible - think again because once upon time ther was a GM that took him. Makes me realize how much we missed out because we failed to find a way to aquire Kieth Van Horn.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
After several patethic games Spencer Hawes showed up for a bit. His shot was on, threes were falling. Everything was working other than the fact that Spencer is supposed to be center and not to shoot threes. Defensively he couldn't help stopping penetration or do anything to contain Landry when they were matched up. We can only hope that it won't take another 4 hames for him to score double figures. He has failed to rebound double figures in the 8 consecutive games and he only did so in 2 out of 12 games which is good enough for 2 double doubles. Not enough for the starting NBA center.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rockets no matter how shorthanded - will always find a way to compete annd if you are not solid enough - htey can beat you which ther did on Saturday night in a very close game where Kings were right there despite being shorthanded themselves. We were leading in the 4th quarter right to the moment where Wilt Landry showed and finished us off. He was unstopable and we couldn't find the answer. We shot the ball really well, shot over 50% and Rockets couldn't hit a three all night but "Wilt" got to the line whenever they nedded points. We did miss Evans a lot.

AWARDS

TDM went to Landry. He was brutal to us.
LW-VC went to Brooks. With Evans sidelined - I expected much more from him.
Kings played too hard to give out a JHa or Mikki.
SAR-Metuselah went to KT who is even too old to shoot FTs
RA&1 goes to Ariza who thinks that he is Lebron.
Jax/Walk award went to Budinger. Never liked any rookie volume shooters.

WTF moment of the game - when Spencer hit his first three of the season. Theory of big numbers was satisfied.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grizzlies are team that we are capable of beating but they did get better by letting Iverson go. They are 4-9 and if they beat us they will almost catch us. They don't really defend and they don't have much of a bench either. If Evans can play we will be okay unless Randolph goes for 50. I expect a close game with both teams trying to win but failing to close the game out and towards the end they will both try to give it to each other and one of them will ultimately succeed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Evans - get well soon
Beno - keep it up
Noc - hit a three for a change
Hawes - get a double double for a change
Thompson - limit number of offensive fouls to 2 please !
Casspi - nice
KT - dominating
Sergio - solid
Greene - almost perfect

rest mateen

Memphis Grizzlies aka LAL minorleague team are 4-9 and 3-3 at home. They had a 3 game winning streak stopped by the bucks. Without Iverso they are a much, much younger team with plenty of guys who can have big numbers on any given night. Gasol gets the TDM. LW-VC goes to hay, Jax/Walk award goes to Mayo. Kings win.

You, sir, are truly a genuis of the first magnitude.

I sure hope people read your introductions carefully. There are a plethora of gems to be found within them.

Nice job.

Early word was that he would; Grant and Jerry haven't said yet and they're on a commercial. Stay tuned and I'll update...

Tyreke Evans will play, per Tyreke who says he's a little sore still but talked to the trainer and was cleared to play.

I think a memo goes out to all the refs before the Kings play to make sure they call a foul as much as possible on them. This is pathetic officiating.

Good foul by JT... Randolp pulls back and the air fouls him. Good clean foul... shoulda been a flagrant 2 tho... bad call by these refs
I think if the Refs are going to call Thompson for those stupid fouls, Thompson should just give up on trying not to pick them up and instead just be a total jerk in the paint... like elbows and really hard blocks into the face and stuff... i mean he is going to pick up the foul anyway, why not make them feel it?
