Hall of Famer
How does a 6’11” dude only have one board in 21 minutes?
Doesn't he only average like, 4 per game?

I can't abide a big that doesn't board. Why I never liked Landry when he played for us.

In his defense Adams can basically block out an entire team and their guards crash the glass, so I guess JJJ can just focus on "unicorn stuff" like 3s and blocks

Dude got married and immediately turned into Kobe.
I think it has a lot to do with Mike Brown showing up and doing the exact opposite of what George Karl did with DeMarcus Cousins: immediately tell Fox that he's the man here while also coaching him and holding him to the highest possible standards. But the marriage theory is a good one too. :) Whatever was bothering him for the first three months of last season appears to be long gone.

Honestly, Metu is just doing a lot of what Holmes has been for us the last few seasons. Super active, super athletic, making hustle plays. He's not near the same defender, but it's great to see he's found a spot in the league.

Not sure what you mean by "and he always was." The coaches might have helped him get there, but this is a absolutely new-and-improved version of DFox we're seeing - in multiple ways..
This is confidence, not development. Fox was consistently pushed to SG in the offense by Walton especially. The one year Walton actually used him as a PG he was near all star level as well.

New coach who commands respect because he's consistent. Best friend now on the team. More talent around him. Fox is just happier. It helps set high team morale when your best player has bought in.

I wonder if we hadn't hired stupid what Fox's arc would have looked like. Marv's for that matter too. I'm just glad we kept Fox and get to enjoy this.

I hear what your saying Monte deciding to build around him was pivotal he believed in his talent I imagine he lost a lot of sleep parting Halliburton
Exactly, it's amazing what happens when you actually commit to building around someone. Vlade actually did the same thing to an extent, but he hired the wrong dude to make it work. He used almost every single complimentary piece bass ackwards.

If you weren't sold on Brown, the Pistons post-conference should have everyone on board. He just wasn't happy at all, basically said they got lucky to get out of there with a win. He's just holding the team to a level of accountability we haven't seen since Adelman

Good point! I forgot about Monk being a factor. And of course winning helps a lot too. He was getting dragged online by Kings fans last year. Maybe that didn't affect him at the time but the overall mood of the team seems to be affecting him now. He's shooting everything with extreme confidence.
