Kings get DDV, Trey Lyles, Josh Jackson & trade Marvin Bagley III to Pistons in 4 team trade.

Appreciate you Bagley, but it's time to move on.

As I have not followed the Kings for some quite time (my bad), what does this trade mean? There is more to come? How many players now we have under contract as 3 players are heading our way?

ESPN Sources: Full trade participants:
Kings: Donte DiVincenzo, Trey Lyles and Josh Jackson.
Bucks: Serge Ibaka, two future second-round picks, cash.
Clippers: Rodney Hood, Semi Ojele.
Pistons: Marvin Bagley Jr.

I think it’s a solid trade.

DDV has been playing poor this year, but getting a SG with size who plays hard is never a bad addition. Hopefully he can get out of his slump. Low risk, solid reward with him.

Havent watched any Pistons ball this year, so not sure what to think of Lyles.

Good luck Bagley. Hope he can turn his career around elsewhere. All the talent in the world, but he holds himself back.

Current roster

C Sabonis/Holmes/Len/Jones
PF Metu/Lyles/Woodard
SF Barnes/Harkless/Jackson
SG Holiday/Lamb/DiVincenzo/Davis/Ramsey
PG Fox/Mitchell

Two way: King & Queta

Hopefully more moves to clear things up, but right now the Kings would need to waive two players to meet the roster limits.

Assuming Holmes is gone, and when Harkless and Davis return...

Fox/Davion
Holiday/DD/Davis
Metu/Lamb/Mo
HB/Lyles
Sabonis/Jones

Something like that for a regular rotation, w/all kinds of mix'n'match possibilities.

Would love to see Holmes for Washington happen.

Monte tried to sign-and-trade Bogdan Bogdanovic for Donte DiVencenzo. The deal fell through due to the Bucks' tampering, which was a bummer for the Kings, who watched Bogdanovic walk as a free agent. Then Monte revisits the DiVincemzo idea and snags him for nothing more than the hope that Bagley turns into a quality rotation big someday. Color me impressed.
