We just had our way in one of the tougher road environments in the NBA on the second night of a back-to-back and some people are pissed off because a guy who most likely won't be on our roster next year was benched in favor of a couple of dudes who certainly will be.

And for his part, Ray Mac, who Jimmer was certainly benched for, didn't really do anything to show me that he doesn't deserve minutes.

Do I feel bad for Jimmer? Sure, but, on a team that's clearly starting to build for the future, a guy who isn't going to be here next year shouldn't be seeing more time than the young guys who show two way potential. Plus, if Jimmer makes our team as awesome as some people apparently think he is, would you rather he not play to help ensure better a draft position?

If I'm just looking at the last two games in which Ray played minutes, he's shown nothing so far that would indicate to me he's a better player than Jimmer. We'll see how the next several games go for Ray. It may be a "neither of the above" choice.

seems like you only pay attention to shooting and scoring and completely ignore things like Defense and ball handling

It seems quiet in here. VF21 are you here? Nick. Helloo!!!

Sorry to have bugged out but life happened. Looking up and seeing flashing red lights up and down the street kinda took my mind away from the game. Everything's cool and I just finished watching the game.

Gotta say...if they keep playing like this, I'm not gonna have to buy anywhere near as much brandy. :)

at least Ray or Roy can dribble the ball without being trapped and turning it over and also knows how to play Defense
At least jimmer can shoot better than anyone in the world. And IT ,Ray Roy and BMac turn it over also brother. Say what you really want to say hater!

What people aren't getting is it doesn't matter if Jimmer is better than Ray. We've all but handed Jimmer his walking papers. He's not going to be back next season. Ray McCallum on the other hand will be. And in a season where we aren't competing for a playoff spot, we absolutely should be playing the guys who will be back next season.

Calling people who don't agree with your opinion "haters" certainly isn't going to gain you any credibility.

Yes treated like crap, he is under contract and top 3 point shooter in nba but not able to get on floor . Yes he is treated like crap, because he won't be here NEXT YEAR? Jimmer is better and has not been a crybaby trouble maker for the worst team in the west but is shut out by the owners And the coach. Do you have any questions?
Yeah, one: how is it possible to be so wrong, in under eighty words?

Yes treated like crap, he is under contract and top 3 point shooter in nba but not able to get on floor .
Not playing a guy under contract is not treating them "like crap." Sorry, but you're just wrong about that. Jimmer Fredette has access to the best medical and dental benefits money can buy, nutritionists, personal trainers, world-class training facilities, to work on his game. He also has the opportunity to practice against some of the best basketball players in the world, learn from professional basketball coaches, and see parts of the country that two-thirds of the population will never see in their lives. Oh, and by the way, he's making two and a half million dollars! If that's being "treated like crap," then sign me the **** up. You make it sound like he works in a coal mine, or something.

Yes he is treated like crap, because he won't be here NEXT YEAR?
This is a total non sequitur. The second part of this sentence is not a logical conclusion of the first part.

If BMac or Roy were even slightly better it would be wrong.
Well, they're both better defenders, and significantly better rebounders, so they've got that going for them. They've also both got a higher ceiling, and will be better players at the three-year mark in their career than Fredette is at his, if they even scratch the surface of their potential.

Jimmer is better...
This is, at best, personal opinion, and closer to wishful thinking.

... and has not been a crybaby trouble maker for the worst team in the west...
This is the only part of your post that is not either completely wrong, or a slanderous lie.

but is shut out by the owners And the coach.
Define "shut out." He's been given one hundred seventy-one games to show what he can do, including seventy-three percent of the season-to-date. Management has determined that they either don't need, or can do without, what he does. He isn't owed any additional playing time, and it's not mistreatment to not give him any.

Look, face reality. Jimmer Fredette has no future with the Sacramento Kings. He knows it, they know it, and we know it. They let him play in MSG in front of his home-town fans. They didn't need to do that, but they did.

You may not like it, but this board is and always has been about the name on the front of the jersey. I like Jimmer but it's best right now that he not play. He won't be here. Our kids will be. I'm hoping for Jimmer's sake that he's able to find a niche on another team. If not, I'm sure the suicide rate among Jimmermaniacs will skyrocket. It's unfortunate but, for whatever reasons, a variety of players never really make it in the NBA no matter how well they did in college. As Glenn has pointed out, at least Jimmer has a substantial amount of money with which to console himself should this happen.

Now, from VF21 the moderator - You are here at KF solely because of Jimmer Fredette. It's not our fault he hasn't lit up the NBA. Do you honestly think any of us wanted him to fail? You need to knock off the "hater" stuff. We're being realistic.

Hell yeah I'll watch 20 dumbass pizza guy commercials to keep our pg. I'm SICK of the Isaiah haters he IS the pg of the future.

Oh, good lord. I'm sick of idiots who continually use the word "haters" as though it means something.

Time will tell if he will regress to the 30 points on 30 shots with 4 assists again, but I hope he does keep doing well

Oh, and I would rather keep him without watching the commercials. So hopefully they don't renew their contract next year

Everything you said was total crap and not worth a full reply. But the funny thing was you said BMac who has played all year has shown only that he can't shoot, drive , or play D has a higher ceiling than jimmer and then you put ray in there to be extra funny I hope.
Maybe your weed card should expire soon?

Holy crud.. I never realized that the Nuggest have the tiniest team in the NBA. They have Robinson, Brooks, and Lawson playing for them?

How would you guys compare IT to those three?

Better than Brooks and Robinson. I would consider IT a middle class's mans Ty Lawson, they are very similar with Lawson being slightly quicker and slightly better passer and IT being a better shooter, neither is a particularly good defender. I wouldn't be surprised if IT eventually overtakes Lawson though in terms of "who is better". Lawson is one bad injury away from coming to earth though, as he almost strictly relies on his incredible quickness and speed.

He had two good games, pretty small sample size, calm down. by the way he did have 6 turnovers tonight with his 6 assists

So... no factual rebuttals, then? Got it?

Call me when Jimmer grows to 6'5 and can get his head above the rim on a dunk and is the fastest player on the basketball court

Ray is what we want from a backup PG(if IT is in the long term plans), he can dribble the ball up against NBA pressure, set up the offense and shows good defensive instincts already as a rookie, plus he has size and strength. Jimmer is essentially a very poor mans IT with better shooting.
