The minutes McLaughlin got tonight to start. And maybe toss in the minutes McNobuckets got.
But here is the real answer. If Carter starts producing and helping the team play winning basketball to the point where you are forced to play him, then rotations will work themselves out to having him on the court more than players who aren't producing is what happens. It's that easy. Regardless of who starts. When players come in and start producing they stay on the court.

Fox 0-11 from 3 was killer for us. Make one of those 11 shots (which is a measly 9.1%) and we likely win this game.
Also, please start Keon if Huerter is out. It’s one thing to relegate Monk to the perpetual 6th man role (no matter who is starting) but it’s another thing to relegate Ellis to the perpetual 7th man role (especially since most of the posters on this forum preferred him as the starter).

He was 8-11 from inside the arc, he had it going there. Ferraris tend to run out of gas a little faster. He also had 5 steals that really gave us a chance at the end. IMO if you are going to do threes it needed to be Monk or Mcbuckets. Credit to the Raptors they hit big shots several times when it looked like the Kings were going to overcome them
I kinda wonder if Brown was reluctant to start him, knowing that if he looked really good with the starters, it would create more doubt about reinserting Huerter when he is ready to go, despite him playing well in the first few games.

Good for Davion. He's a starter, getting meaningful minutes, and playing his game.
Sabonis needs some help. Too often he's in the paint with players draped & everyone standing around the 3pt line. Keegs provides some length/crashing, but having Trey as a smallball C doesn't work on teams with length (like this).

Do you know what’s also stupid? The fact that we can still complain about playing a b2b, when we’ve now played against these teams on the 2nd night of a b2b:

let me clarify. I thought Davion was a horrible pick FOR THE KINGS. I was not an anti Davion guy I was anti Davion guarding the 3. With the Kings he was never able to show his true value stuck behind Fox and others. Considering we traded Davion, Sasha and the 45th pick for Jalen McDaniels I would say I was absolutely F***ING RIGHT.
I often thought the Pels would have been smart to trade for him. Davion at the point of attack defense with all the Pel’s length around him would have been very tough for Fox, Ja, Kyrie and all the other offensive first point guards in the west. But Monte couldn’t get a penny of value for the 8th pick in the draft and wasted 4 years of his career. And yes Davion did show he had value tonight regardless of Fox’s nonchalant game.

A back to back where you have to fly from Atlanta and clear customs is pretty brutal. So on one hand it is a clear schedule loss.
On the other hand it’s a continuation of some concerning items we have seen previously. Lack of assists, poor 3 point shooting 25%, horrible 3 point Defense 45.9%, trouble with length. At a minimum it has to leave an uneasy feeling.
I’m not sure what to think right now other than Fox had a WTF game where he scored 24 but played horribly with a single assist.
