Because who are we taking back in a Fox deal? Zach Collins, Keldon Johnson and Tre Jones? May as well just fold the franchise.

The math does not change bringing in LaVine for Fox/Huerter instead of just like Keldon+Collins for Fox and keeping Huerter.

I really don't get why he thinks cap space was on the table with SA. Does he not know how contracts work? NONE of the SA contracts were expirings. Keldon+Collins+Huerter would still be on our books right now... meaning our cap would be basically in the same position. I'm fairly certain that's MORE than what LaVine makes lol

To be fair, the entirety of Twitter is an absolute hellscape of people saying absolutely horrible things on the off chance it takes off and makes them money.

So we're trading Fox for late lottery picks and cap space. The deal we got sucked but I'm sorry that's unacceptable particularly knowing what cap space has gotten us in the past. Maybe we have cap space, offer 25 million to Kuminga and Dubs match it. Then what?

Not hard you put in a nasty trade kicker and a 3 year offer and Dubs are not matching it.

If you want to try for another deal fine. But taking LaVine (losing a lottery first, Huerter, salary cap space) was way worse than a deal with no LaVine.

Whether you can get something better by like the Nets deal Monte preferred with Cam I don’t know but the LaVine trade was a Vivek inspired disaster. We would be better off with his daughter than Vivek.

I don't think of of it as negative as much as facing reality. This season could be miserable for a Kings fan - hopefully not!

Clearly the Spurs could get by sending out Collins, Jones and Cissoko. The only contract on our books this year would have been Collins.

I’m more interested in going to Stockton and seeing if Raynaud develops than paying money to go to Golden One Center.

Miserable means different things to different people. Some people would be miserable winning 48 games, getting a 6 or 7 seed, and losing in the first round and would prefer to win 20 games and get the 5th pick in the draft.

I'd like to watch entertaining basketball, win total be damned. I just want to enjoy watching. The last two years after the initial Beam Team have been a total buzz kill and it's not because of the win total, its because the style of play sucked and lacked joy.

Yeh I’d say 25-30 percent of fans live for the misery. Cubs, Kings, Eagles, Hawkeyes all easy fill that quota. The rest of us fluctuate between getting angry we didn’t win a Summer league championship to wearing purple colored glasses and declaring “kings are going to win 40 this year!!!!” Haha.

This just comes down to ownership wanting to remain competitive. If ownership was OK with bottoming out then surely they could’ve got a better rebuilding package.

which is precisely why it would be in peoples best interest to stay far far away from all those other platforms and continue our friendly dialog on these forums. it's like our little village in the mountains compared to the urban city life
