[KINGS] Comments that don't warrant their own thread (Redux)

Thinking of opening a Crow Cafe fast-casual restaurant with counter service. Crow wings. Crow salad sandwich. Crow soup. Half sandwich and soup combo.

Thinking it will do pretty well. First two locations going in in Bristol, CT and NYC next to Steven As office.
Does Door Dash do crow deliveries? Buy in bulk at Costco and ship to all these fools...:D

I do love the idea of just betting on Queta to fill the back-up C role and using Lyles in certain match-ups at the 5 as well. The less we can spend on that slot, the better.

Also, how really really like how good our G-League team is as Queta and Keon Ellis being lead options. Both guys should hopefully have a chance to fight for roster spots next season

I like the idea as well but I don't think I'd like the implementation lol. He's just not a very high IQ player, despite having so many tools. I think he'd get absolutely torched defensively if we put him in right now. I would like to see him get some run at the end of this season if we're up 15-20pts on a team.

Ellis is the more intriguing prospect to me. He's looked lost playing team defense but he's in the mold of Kessler/Davion when it comes to man defense. G League site is saying he's shooting 46% from 3. I don't trust their stats at all but even if they're off by 6%, that's still 40% for a guy who had shooting questions coming out of college. Would like to get a look at him in the TD role next year if possible.

Hmm, I think my only push-back is we haven't seen any sample of Queta in the last year outside of like random 3-5 minute stretches for a game or 2. I thought he showed improvement year 2 SL, but clearly wasn't ready for the big league game 1. But; dude has been absolutely elite this year for the G-League club and probably has a case for being the best player in the G-League. It's nice seeing a real up tick on a lot of his stats too, including rebounding:

Year 1:
71.2% TS
10.3% Ast
15.2% TRB
22.8% USG

Year 2:
76.7% TS
13.4% Ast
18.5% TRB (Very nice jump here. This has been my biggest complaint with the SL tape we have on him. Much closer to where he needs to be as a rebounder)
21.7% USG

Overall, very encouraging that our G-League team is really good and it's being lead by Ellis and Queta, both guys who have the best chance to win a roster spot with the big club. I like Ellis a lot too; he's developing some real on-ball guard skills that he didn't show a ton of in college. But has that nastiness on defense that few NBA guys have.

This has been a magical season, almost like a Hollywood movie. You can imagine the team, when the opponent calls a timeout, getting together on the sidelines and saying, "What are we going to get for Foxy's new baby?"

Alex Len says, "I could find him a hand-knitted, Ukrainian baby carrier."

Harrison Barnes: "I think he could use some noise-cancelling headphones. This place is loud."

Domantas Sabonis: "Yeah, too loud for a little kid."

Davion Mitchell: "Good idea. I'm down with that."

And then the horn sounds.

Beautiful.

Can you imagine being a part of this? The locker room pics we see after wins are so heartening. I see these guys loving each other and supporting each other with the biggest smiles ever. Lifelong bonds are being created. You can't help but love these guys and what they're creating. It's special to be a Kings fan.
