Welcome, fellow Kings fans!

Cold day here in the forest, with another winter storm warning posted. Luckily the snow level is supposed to remain about 1,000 ft. higher than my house. I'm hoping...

Here's what today's Bee has to say about the game:

KINGS UPDATE
Status: In the midst of their season-high, three-game road winning streak, the Kings were jubilant and relieved in the dressing room following Friday's 96-93 victory over the Warriors. The news only gets better as Kevin Martin returns tonight in a limited capacity from the thigh bruise that kept him out of five games.

Trend: With ball movement and the desire to find the open man, the Kings are as good as any team in the NBA shooting the ball, particularly with Mike Bibby and center Brad Miller. Ron Artest shook off some of his horrific shooting woes and became more of a passer Friday, leading his team with six assists.

Injury report: None.

CLIPPERS UPDATE
Status: The Clippers are chumps no more. Los Angeles will finish with its first winning season in 14 years, and the Clippers sparkled in clubbing Utah 106-91 Friday night with five players reaching double figures. Los Angeles hasn't beaten the Kings in 11 tries and has lost 14 consecutive games at Arco.

Trend: Sam Cassell has had career games against the Kings through the years, particularly when he led the charge in the playoffs two years ago with Minnesota. Elton Brand is having a monster season, and Chris Kaman has emerged as one of the game's top big men. The Clippers could become a real headache come playoff time.

Injury report: Cuttino Mobley, ankle, questionable.
----------------------------------------------------
Glad to see Martin will be stepping on the floor again. Hopefully he'll bring the same spark off the bench he was giving as the temporary starter.

I've got my coffee brewed, made sure I have enough firewood in to cover the evening, and I'm cooking my garlic chowder with potatoes. ;)

Think good thoughts. We need this game - of course, we need all the games!!!

:D

Okay, just a reminder: This is the play-by-play thread. I use it as an ongoing way to bring the flavor of the game to those who cannot see or follow it otherwise. If you want to discuss the game, please use piksi's game discussion thread. It's always pretty lively and piksi's intros alone are worth the price of admission.

:D

We also have Mr. S£im's CHAT PARTY LIVE at mIRC, server irc.bludgeon.org, channel #kingsfans. That's another great place to check out. Discussion isn't always limited to the game; you might find yourself in the middle of WWE talk... or who knows what else.

Sad news for radio listeners: Koz is doing the radio, covering for Gary Gerrould.

Sorry...

;)

Good news for Kings fans... We do have Kevin suited up and ready to play.

:D

I cannot believe the people who put together the pre-game "theme" video clips. Probably the same geniuses who thought trashing Detroit was a good idea.

This time it's "The Race is On," complete with the country song and a whole bunch of car crashes from NASCAR races.

Okay, correct me if I'm wrong but in the song, "The race is on and here comes pride down the back stretch," ends with "and the winner loses all."
