bears still on the loose? no clue how bear hunting works, but good luck!Grades/post-game discussion thread has been started. I promise not to over-moderate. In fact, I'm gonna go fix some dinner and go on bear watch.
I LOVE THIS TEAM!

As someone who has battled spinal pain on a daily basis for decades, I agree wholeheartedly.Uh-oh, that's one of least places you want to get injured....

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhOh, no ... no. Not hunting. Just listening for the sound of him trying to get into the new "bear proof" dumpster. And, once he trips the motion detector, I'll sit inside behind the relative "safety" of my glass door and watch him.
This is how I did it.bears still on the loose? no clue how bear hunting works, but good luck!

Hopefully it was just a strain and nothing structural. That could alter a career if so.
It was on the under the basket play where he stretched a little awkwardly regarding the direction he was going to make the basket. My bet would be he just tweaked his lower back.Hopefully it was just a strain and nothing structural. That could alter a career if so.
I loved that he did that, but only caught the 7 letter word.Joerger gets the game ball for keeping this game close. The team came out of the blocks coasting and passive. Joerger took all 5 guys out, then he went ballistic on an official, giving him a few pertinent four-letter words, then he screamed at his team for their brain-dead turnovers. The alarm bells went off. After that the team had some fire. I haven't seen Fox play that aggressively since he's been a King, and all the other guys stepped it up. Face it, this Kings' team was out-manned. Sometimes all you can do is go down Alamo-style guns a blazing.
That was why I was hoping we would have drafted OG Anunoby. I like Justin a lot, but I really wanted OG for defense at the 3. He excels and any offense is a bonus. The Kings have not had a full sized athletic SF who could defend since James Johnson (at the time he was not the player he is now mentally) and Jakarr showed the value of having one even if they are a fringe NBA player. In a league of Giannis/LeBron/Simmons/Hayward/Durrant/Lenoard/Melo/Geroge you need a full sized SF who is above average and all the successful teams have one except for maybe Toronto who has a rookie.
We really need to trade or draft for one eventually Temple/Bogie/Buddy are way to small/nonathletic to compete at that position for the most part.
I really hope that was Geroge Hill last game as a King the guy got paid and has been Mozgov/Noah bad his effort is not there and he never involves himself in the game terrible mentor so far based on his actions.
OG has been very impressive. He has the same length as KD (7'6" wingspan). Can defend everywhere! Inside and outside strong and quick. That was why I was hoping we would have drafted OG Anunoby. I like Justin a lot, but I really wanted OG for defense at the 3. He excels and any offense is a bonus.

I think OG can actually defend ALL 5 positions as he gains experience. How many players can you say that about?!
Surprisingly he has made 21-55 on his 3s too (38%). Getting 19 MPG on a 14-7 Raptors team.
Swing and miss by Vlade going for the kid from the pedigree school instead. Meh.
One way to perceive this as a positive is if OG can come back so soon from his ACL and show no ill-effects Giles can too.
Surgical and rehabilitation advances have change the prognosis for ACL especially at the young age.

Yes instead of Giles - I think OG was available still too at 20 or whatever it was. Too lazy to look up what team hes actually on now.
He's playing up to expectations in Toronto. I was fully on board with OG but we'll have to wait to see about Giles. If it were up to me I would red shirt him the entire season.
Well maybe up to what I thought he could produce early. As for Jackson I think he's on track and he was actually #10 on my board. Jackson and Buddy off the bench will be a big scoring force off the bench.OG is doing more than playing up to expectations, he's exceeding them, less than one year from ACL.
I like Justin Jackson okay, he's got a nice scoring knack and even keel to him, but bears mentioning he's 22 years old who logged a 6.9 PER before being sent to bench and G-League.
OG is 20 year old with a 13 PER playing rotational minutes for one of the best teams in the league. OG also has All-NBA defensive potential.
Just like Donovan Mitchell, OG stood out before the draft to me as a unique talent. Jackson barely registered on my radar.
(I saw Jackson as a skinny kid with average athleticism and scoring efficiency. Meh.)
Vlade needs to hit big with Giles or Jackson or bow out gracefully before he sets back this franchise further with his talent miscalculations.
Giles or Jackson (or both) need to prove capable starters at minimum in the next 1-3 years.
These two players with Buddy are what we have to show after all for trading away the most talented player in team history, who torched the Blazers last night with 38 big ones!
