I donate blood frequently and this one is a no-brainer. You also get two free tix to the January 23 game vs. Phoenix. So I can helps support the team and don't even have to pay for tickets! Come on, support the team on the Maloof's dime!
The Sacramento Kings tip off 2013 by saving lives at their community blood drive January 11, 2013 from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m. with support from KHTK 1140 Sports Radio and KZZO NOW 100.5. It's a great way to start the New Year and National Blood Donor Month by helping patients through difficult circumstances and getting them back in the game. :( I can't donate blood. Just here to say I hope a lot of people do show up and donate. It's for a very good cause. You never know when you or a loved one will need a transfusion. It saved the life of a friend of mine after she was hit in a terrible car accident.

Yeah, I know, but I work in West Sac and can take a long lunch so I am going to head over there. I'm a 3 gallon donor with Bloodsource (plus historically lots of donations to the Red Cross), so I pretty much donate whenever I can (obviously following the 8 week breaks between donations) with my work schedule.

Sometimes they are giving away movie tickets, etc., but a couple passes to a game is great. Bloodsource just switched to a "point" system for rewards, so I don't know if they will be giving out things like tickets as often anymore.

Anyways, even if you can't go today, please go donate when you can!
