Too early to read anything into the first preseason game but not liking the fast paced and Cuz 3's. Feels like silliness carrying over from last year.

Hmm, so Cuz is still great...when he's not now hoisting up threes. That has to stop. meanwhile our guards still aren't shooting or defending, PGs in particular on the defense, Rudy looks confused and awful, and generally its the same Cuz does it all or nothing happens we were watching last year.

well he is coming off injury as well. His first real game in months

a completely different beast compared to training camp

Pretty much. Was hoping for slightly better since the team had been bonding together this summer.

Kind of alarming since we were supposed to have re-vamped our roster. There is a lot of confusion on the court, I don't know if they are running different sets, but it's definitely got my attention. I can already see the starting lineup we threw out there today is not going to be our best one if Rondo starts. He has no one to pass it to. If Rondo starts, you have to start Bellinelli and WCS as a 3 point weapon and lob target respectively.

Most importantly, why on earth did Karl think Cousins shooting threes was a good idea? Stupid.

Outside of the sloppiness and missed threes, my concerns are the lack of cohesion on offense and defense. They seem unsure what to do with the ball when on offense within the concept. Not navigating the lanes or gapes well. On defense, when Rondo and Cousins are out, the communication falters. Guys like Collison are left alone in the post versus bigs. Frazier sits wide open with nobody guarding him for like five seconds.

eh, some coaches like experimenting during this time. its the first game of preseason guys lol

we'll be seeing all kinds of different things and different rotations/combinations

That is why this lineup will have difficulty. Koufous and Cousins both need to be low, you can take Cousins out to the foul line, but it makes the post really congested. Ben isn't a good enough 3 point shooter to prevent the D from collapsing.

I think bellinelli needs to start over Ben.

Which were some of the few concerns expressed about the roster moves this season. Ben and Rudy really need to step up their outside games. We added shooters but guys like Butler and Curry really won't play much.

Perimeter d....offense doesn't matter if we can't stop teams from setting franchise high 3fg made every single f'n game.
