[Game] Kings @ Atlanta, 1/17/11, 1 p.m. pacific

Looooong flight back to No Cal. Kings should have won 3 games on this trip. Very disappointing.

Yup. Kings should arrive back in Sac around midnight. I wonder if they practice Tuesday or just look at film or even get ANOTHER day off. They had a day off yesterday in Atlanta before this game. Obviously, they need to practice their pathetic FT shooting.

It was, technically, a foul, but I'm stunned that they actually called it. Nobody, but nobody, gets that call at the end of a game... Kobe F. Bryant doesn't get that call...

I think it was too obvious of a foul to not call. Theyd let stuff like body on body contact or pushoffs go, but if its a shooting foul as obvious as it was, imo, gotta call it.

Still probably wouldn't have been called if Johnson hadn't missed the hoop by like three feet.

If i remember correctly, he had a clear look in the jumpshot. Tyreke put his hand up in desperation and raked his arm, so i dont think it wouldve made a difference.

I really like Donte in there. Some of these rebounds he gets are incredible.

He's 6'11", practically 7 feet. He should be rebounding like this all the time. He could easily average ~6 rebounds a game if he focused on it. He should've done that last year when he was actually getting minutes.

You never know. In a game where a near decapitation was ruled a normal foul, it's hard to say what would have happened.

Yes :)

I knew that D in 6th grade Latin would come in handy! It's too early to write the book on DMC. He has to drown his sorrows in A&W. He will grow, still, as a player and a person.
Oh, and salve sis. I think.

Latin? I know that some schools still taught Latin to the viejos, but I thought you were my age. The hell kind of high school did you go to?

To be fair, I took 6th grade Latin while I was a 6th grade math teacher about 6 years ago. As such, I earned a D for my efforts.

Yeah that foul shouldve definitely been a flagrant. Poor Beno got clotheslined only to get a non flagrant called.

Still the foul against Johnson had to be called, it was just too obvous in too decisive of a situation.

The Refs made the calls in this closely contested game to give ATL the win.

Sure Reke fouled Johnson. But the Beno clothesline no call? The JT phantom calls? The Refs sucked for the Kings.
