[Game] Kings at Sixers

very nice win, feel bad for cuz...it seemed every time in the post he's mugged and refs look the other way . life of a rookie big I guess.

as for the draft it looks weak maybe trade down and get us a good SF.

If Greene does not have the ability to inbound the ball in a certain amount of time, why is put in that situation?
I am assuming the inbounder is not voluntarily self-chosen.

It's more complicated then that. It's also the other 4 guys not getting open. And you can't blame the coach every time a player messes up.

When Webber called the timeout at Mich, which they didn't have, did everyone blame the coach, or him? They blamed Webb, and rightfuly so. But you would blame the coach for having had Webb on the floor in the first place, since according to your logic, he's not capable of finishing out a game without knowing whether or not a team has a timeout? When JT bricks a layup, you blame Westy for having him in the game, and being in that situation? When Cousins throws a backdoor pass out of bounds, you blame Westy for playing him, and putting him in that situation?

But I'm guessing when Thornton scores 19 in the 3rd, you give all the credit to Thornton, and none to Westy for putting him in that situation? I get what you're saying. When a player succeeds, the player deserves the credit. When the player fails, the coach deserves the blame. Yeah, ok.

I don't know. If we really drop I think there'll be some very talented guys available anyway.

Thats the word. No franchise guys but deep in talent. If we dont have #1 (to pick between Williams and Kyrie) than we might as well have pick #10.

Or we consider packaging the pick. What if hypothetically we get the 7th pick. Do we stay there, or consider something like moving the #7 + JT or Beno or Omri for Batum? Just a scenario.

Cousins has been struggling a bit but Im not too concerned. After the Pacers games Cousins sat down with Grant and Jerry and said very clearly "Im hurting" .. sounded like it too. I dont know if he means the leg thing that happened to him a few weeks ago, or that he is just wearing down from his first season .. but something is there, and thats OK. He has had a very good first season on the court, if he can just figure out the mental stuff and work his body into better shape he'll be fine. He needs some rest though for sure.

Sadly, I hear that so often on here. The coach and the team had a good win today despite the usual suspects. It isn't one mistake that loses it nor one outstanding play that wins it. Here's a toast to Westphal. Cheers, keep up the good work.

Portland wouldn't give up Batum for Gerald Wallace; there's no chance that they'd give him up for anybody we've got, pick or no pick.

While not likely, I'd say there's a definite chance Wallace or Batum is moved this summer. They have Roy and Matthews, both recently signed to longterm deals. They have Rudy. They have up and coming Batum, who needs 30+ minutes a night to develop. And they have Wallace, still playing at a near allstar level, and has publicly stated more then once he fully expects to be the starting 3. Either Batum or Wallace will be very unhappy being relegated to the bench.

They have too many wings, and arguably are short on bigs. Who knows what will happen with Oden, who's a RFA. Camby has been injured most of the year. Joel is in Charlotte. They have Aldridge of course, but need more depth. Like I said, not likely, but possible.

There are 3 foreign centers ranked in the top 11 of this years draft class in Valanciunas, Kanter, and Motiejunas(who I've always liked). Maybe grabing one of them is an option for Por. If they need capspace, we can absorb a contract, while also offering our pick + JT. Just brainstorming here.

Figures they'd finally get a good streak going after I'm too bummed out about the move to really enjoy it. This really is depressing. I want to get excited over the winning but i just can't because all i can think is, they won't be here next year.

I don't know how many Trailblazers games you watch (I, unsurprisingly, have watched all of them since Wallace got traded there), but neither one of them is coming off the bench; Camby is.

And they're not going to trade Batum, at all: Rich Cho thinks he has the most upside of anybody on that whole squad. There is a zero percent chance that they trade Batum. And, while there is a greater than zero percent chance that they trade Wallace, it is extraordinarily unlikely that they trade him for anybody we've got.
