Yes. Timely plays consistently that aid to the Kings losing. No team that plays him in a rotation will ever win.

Eh, I'd still blame who ever thinks it's better to play off and not pressure any team, let alone the Nuggets. Having Davion play off and prepare on help hurts the soul. Any big dominant team can't be allowed to make easy entry passes.

The 1st quarter was basically the Kings trying to double Jokic but the players were unaware they had to rotate in order for it to work … sure that’s on the players, but it stems from a lack of accountability led by the coaching staff too. You can’t implement a game plan if you don’t hold your guys accountable to execute it. But there’s a culture of little leadership on this team so not surprising.

I don't think that's a great reflection of what happened. The Kings were actually up much of the earliest portion of the game and only down by 3 after 6 minutes. They got beat by 9 in the last six minutes of the first.

But I think it's wrong to think that since the Kings were +2 after that point that they were the better team. Denver got up big, then let up and allowed the Kings back in, then put the hammer down and put the Kings away, then let up and allowed the Kings back within 10. Denver was clearly the best team over the last three quarters as well, they just didn't play hard all the time.

And at some point gameplan comes into question. In the modern NBA, as soon as you double, it's likely you just gave up points. And if they are doubling on a post guy they better dig down hard and get the ball. I still don't understand this quest to build Bagley's value and play big recently. I think they feel comfortable they'll sit and wait on a push move and still have time to get into the 10th slot. Monte played that game last year, and lost. We'll see if it changes this year I guess.

There was a stretch where the Nuggz didn't allow Haliburton to get his shot off. Really, the only shot he has right now is a step back/side step 3. As soon as a team presses up you best bet he's going to swing the ball. That's one of the reasons his assist totals are so high when Buddy is hitting. He's just simply swinging the ball to Buddy coming off the screen. Teams can also get him to release the pass off the pick and roll too early in the paint which then forces the big to make a move to get the basket. Something one would think Bagley can do better than Tristan Thompson but whatever. With Holmes' push shot it makes it far more dangerous.

Yeah, I agree. We'll waste entire possessions just trying to get him an open look when we have other players who have been making shots all game and all we really need is to score something each time down the floor. He has those crazy stretches where he bombs in a ton of points but I don't think that's worth the 90% of the time where he's eating up shot clock then turning the ball over.

When we're begging for Lou King and Terrance Davis to take minutes from your 20 million player, times are tough.

The Kings got to within 4 just three minutes into the third. Then the Nuggets called a timeout and Jokic went into Beast mode to build the lead back to 15 over the next 5 minutes. That's what MVPs do. I guess you could argue the Nuggets were just toying with us when they gave up the lead the first time but I think the Kings did outplay them for most of the second quarter and the early minutes of the third.

We're seeing the same pattern in most our losses this season: (1) We are completely incapable of stopping other teams when they are rolling so what should be a 10 point run turns into a 20 point run, and (2) We stop our own runs by subbing out or just icing players who are hot and/or going away from plays that are working even though the other team hasn't been able to stop them yet. Those are both typical of poorly coached teams.

We need to get Ariza back to assemble our death "hold guys accountable with on court frustration and angry eyes while being generally useless otherwise" lineup. Moe can't do it by himself.

What other players have been making shots all game not named Fox and Tyrese? Davion has been missing everything and taking half the shots while in the lineup with Buddy. Not a defense of Buddy's poor last two games but it's not as if he's been chucking 20 shots out there taking shots away from others.
