Kingdom Crumbling?

Really important article to read located here by Sam Amick:

Some extremely scary things are written there, including:

Representatives for both players have been expressing frustration with Westphal for weeks, including attempts on behalf of the Evans camp to apply serious pressure by going directly to the Maloofs. There have been bombshell hints dropped that standing pat won't work for them, that the fourth pick in the 2009 draft would want out of Sacramento if changes aren't made.

Is this based on just the coach? Or are there other factors at work?

This quote about Cousins by his esteemed agent (re: choke sign) at the very end of article speaks volumes - about a general disconnect at all levels all around the Kingdom:

"I find it a curious decision to bench a productive young player for something that had nothing to do with the game's outcome," Greig wrote. "I'm sure we all can agree that there are many areas of the Kings that need greater professionalism and improvement right now. I told DeMarcus to take it as an honor that such a significant amount of criticism is focused on his mistakes. Great players live with greater expectations."

IT DID have an impact on the outcome! The W's got incensed, the W's fans in Arco got energized, Kings teammates were not amused, it was a technical foul offense (even though none was called) and meanwhile the rookie became star of the gigantic meltdown by forcing shots and turning the ball over repeatedly late in the 4th quarter and OT. I did learn here for first time that Cousins did his infamous choke boogie TWICE during the game. Back to the subject of immediate firings of Petrie and Westphal. It's all rumor at this point and fact that Joe Maloof flat out denies there's any truth to it is "something." He could stay silent about such rumor mill, but isn't. During such rumors immediately leading up to Theus' firing the FO was totally silent - except for some supposed idle talk in Vegas by Gavin Maloof to a Kings fan at the casino that they were disappoined and looking into making a coaching change. Now, more rumor, more turmoil, and Tyreke much more at the center of it, IMO. The "other factors" as the OP asks have to do with his "personal problems" - and what can be done about that issue going forward.
