Keegan really had himself a good slump-buster road trip:

31.9 MPG
15.3 PPG
6.3 RPG
1.0 APG
0.8 BPG
1.0 SPG
43.2% from 3 on 9.3 3PA (damn)
62.7% TS
+31 overall +/- (weighted heavily from his +25 vs WAS)
We'll need Stella the rest of the way.

can't say I blame Keegan for not eating sushi or Halibut, Halibut has that fishy aftertaste in your mouth just like ahi tuna and you have to top it with a sauce or juice from a lime/lemon to really masquerade the taste

I’ll have to disagree with you on this one, especially sushi. Nigiri is one of my favorite things to eat. If you like documentaries, check out Jiro Dreams of Sushi if you haven’t already. Great look into the life of a master.

“I think he (Murray) is one of the best two-way guys in the league,” Fox explained to HoopsHype. “You see what Mikal (Bridges) is doing in Brooklyn now. I think he (Murray) can be that for us. I’ve told him this is a wing-driven league. Most of the best teams in the league have their best players that are wings. I’m not putting pressure on him. He has a lot of things to work on. In his first year, he’s been great for us. I think he has a bright future.”

After praising Murray’s upside, Fox made it clear he feels the Kings can compete with anyone and have a bigger goal than ending the playoff drought.

Always felt like Murray and Mikal Bridges were similar in some ways. I think prior to the draft both came in the league with similar scouting report and both older guys. It wouldn't surprise me if their career trajectory would also be similar.

I don't enjoy seafood (might amaze some of you who know my background). I also heartily endorse the no salad but Caesar! approach to veggies as well.

It is now obvious why Keegan was my guy.

The dude grew up in Iowa. It was probably a pretty safe idea to avoid sushi.
believe it or not there is good sushi in his hometown, I ate there last week. I don’t know if people know this but all seafood that is to be consumed raw has to be frozen first to kill parasites or it cannot be served in the United States. I don’t know if there are exceptions but that’s generally the rule.

I'm not sure who will wind up better offensively but I don't think Keegan will ever be as good as Mikal defensively. He just doesn't have the foot speed or the length.
yeh I think Fox might have been talking more in general as far as the type of player he is vs actually being as good as Bridges.

sushi is an acquired taste and if that's something you can stomach, then I applaud you for this

No disrespect to the other rookies who are getting their props but we're seriously talking about a situation here where Keegan Mary will break the three-point record for rookies and the NBA will still hand the rookie of the Year trophy to some mook sitting at home eating nachos watching Keegan in the playoffs.

And they won't even vote him top 5.

Keegan Murray is the X-factor on how far we'll go in the Playoffs.
More likely, Malik Monk. He is the guy who is always tying the score when the team is behind, or putting them ahead. Monk is the man who best works with Sabonis on the pick-and-roll. He is also the second-leading scorer per 36 minutes. Keegan is seventh, a solid player at this point in his career, but not often a difference-maker.

If only he yelled more after each dunk.

If only he were on pace to have 200 more dunks instead of threes, he might have 200 less points and maybe that would have cost us a few games, but he'd have 200 more dunks and be rookie of the decade. Chump.

Keegan does not get the respect he deserves just like most of our players as those around the league probably see our season as a fluke or we will turn into the 'Same old Kings' sooner rather than later. pee on them. We know how great he has been as a rookie, and that's all that matters.
