I don't think Petrie understands how drafts work. You don't take a guy projected to go in the late to mid first with a lottery pick. You trade down to get him.

That being said I hope it works out for us, at least it fills a need we have at PF.

Agreed. that's a little disappointing. i think he will be a good player, but we probably could have gotten him 5-10 picks later.

I don't hate the pick, I actually think he will work out for us. What I hate is where we took him, we need to learn get value for our picks, if that means trading down then so be it.

Underrated kid. I like him over Randolph, Speighs, or Arthur. I'm happy with this pick although it seems we could of traded down and still picked him up.

Golden State really liked him at #14. Maybe we could have traded down one spot, but I don't think people should assume where he was going to go.

we all liked Williams and Watkins Thompson is bigger and better than both. We should be happy.

Many draft boards had him going late 1st, some even early second. Haven't seen him higher than 18'th on any board
