Many draft boards had him going late 1st, some even early second. Haven't seen him higher than 18'th on any board
Wow! This is the biggest surprise of the draft. Though the Warriors liked him at No. 14, we had Thompson projected as a late first-round pick. He's solid, but that's it. There are much better players on the board here. Perhaps the Kings were shell-shocked after losing out on Bayless and Augustin, the two point guards they wanted.
Golden State really liked him at #14. Maybe we could have traded down one spot, but I don't think people should assume where he was going to go.
We will still get a decent pg in this draft

I don't know much about this guy at all, but apparently he can rebound his arse off, so that really helps.
How many times have we heard that the past few years...?
I was surprised the Kings took Jason Thompson. Hell, I don't even know who he is, however, I just saw on ESPN that he was 2008 MACC DEFENSIVE Player of the year. He seems like a solid pick. I like the fact he was defensive player. So, I can't boo the pick.
thats funny because overall defesne is listed as a weakness. If thats his weakness and he was DFPOY then this may be nice.
I just heard Dick Vitale say that Jason Thompson was a good pick for the Kings.
i hope the kings somehow manage to get the 26th pick from the spurs and take chalmers if hes there
Hawes and Thompson - the future Twin Towers? Heh.
Wow, Indiana ends up with Bayless and Hibbert. Pretty good darft for them.
