Kevin Martin

The way Martin and Garcia are playing are Bonzi and Pedja expendable? I say hell yes!!!!!!!! We need to rebuild and those two are good way to start me thinks.:)

Fabulous game Kevin. Not only was his defense on Nash important, but in watching clips of Kevin....Nash was running around like a chicken with his head cut off trying to guard Kevin, lol! (Yes, Nash's defense sucks, but it was hysterical to watch him trying in those clips.)

Let's not get crazy. Bonzi was arguably the best player on the team before his injury, and Peja is peja and could ignite at any time. The Kings will simply have a deep team when Bonzi, Rahim, and Peja return. I am not sure who will be on the bench. I suspect that Adelman will enjoy the benefits of a legitimate eight or nine-man rotation, with nobody playing more than 36 minutes per game.

A little premature to say they're "expendable", but I always thought they just needed time together and some PT to start showing a little something. If they can do this consistently, I think we have a couple starters for years to come in the making.

I think Garcia will come around a little quicker than Kevin did (already seeing signs of that), but both are progressing nicely this year so far. Great job! Woohoo!

Ahem. Cicso and Kevin are kids on rookie contracts. Pedja and Bonzi are FA's coming off $8 mil a year contracts. Since we are not going anywhere fast with this team, I say let the youth movement begin!

I can put up with incosistency and rookie mistakes much easier then with half-***ed effort.

True, but I haven't seen much ignition, and certainly no passion this season. He is going to walk at the end of the year anyway.
THIS team was fun to watch. I'll take re-building. I'll take waiting on youth to develop when the passion and the energy and the love of the game are there. I don't see that in Peja.

I'm very happy to say that I was wrong and Kingsgurl was right about Kevin Martin. He was terrific on both ends of the floor and has been a few times this year. I'm really glad we have him.

I hope he keeps his head on straight and keeps working his tail off - he seems to have a future in the league if he can stay hungry and work work work.

I am a Kevin Martin fan - albeit a bandwagoner but oh well I'm glad to be changing my tune about him. I hope he gets lots of minutes this year and who knows - maybe he will start next year (I don't think the Kings will pay Bonzi).

I predict that Bonzi Wells will take less money to stay with the Kings. You heard it here first.

There's plenty of room on the wagon for you, Francisco. ;)

The main thing is that Kevin Martin is GOOD for the Sacramento Kings. Those of us who had faith from the beginning are just glad that some of you are now seeing what we knew all along.

GO KINGS!!!!

38 points8-14 from the field 4-5from three 5 boards, 3 assists
Now that is a stat line
4-5 from down-town
NO turnovers.
Team high in points

Only a measly 5 boards, not like the 10 board out-put of last game, but we'll take it!

Um, KG? You might want to put in some spaces. I thought you were posting some weird code of some kind.

;)

Kenny hogged all the good rebounds tonight.

I know we had our differences on this subject, so I appreciate greatly the sentiment:D I had a little unfair advantage after meeting him though, I have to admit. There is a quiet resolve about him. He said he wasn't going to let me down, and he meant it. I guess you would have to be there, but there is a 'something' about that young man. That undefinable 'it'.

Congrats, Kevin, for another fine showing.

Kings are now 7-1 when you score 14 or more.

Way to show 'em.

Keep on doin' it.

Way to be "The Kid". ;)

Kings 1st round draft picks actually getting playing time. They have suprised me so far. Martin looks like a good SG for the future, and if Garcia can be consistent he will be a decent SF.

Now what needs to happen when the starters come back is for Martin, and Garcia to come off the bench and show this kind of enthusiasm.

Could you guys and girls imagine a line up with Bibby, KG, Martin, Garcia, and Miller????????? Probably can't happen, but I'd take KG, Martin and Garcia and one of the core 3.................sans Peja.

Yes I can not wait for the future. Those two will make a perfect team.

I just hope that we don't give up on them. With the way they are playing, I don't see that happening. It makes me wonder if we stuck with Gerald Wallace what he could be doing for us right now.

I have two words regarding the young guys: BRIGHT FUTURE!!!! :D

This is start to become a habit for the lad. A very good habit BTW! Keep working your butt off. Good things will come.

To his critics I give you a mega :p Hows the crow tasting?!;)

To his family... Thank you for letting us borrow him for awhile:p

You can see his confidence is getting better every game. I love watching the kid. He will be a nice player right beside Cisco!

Now if we can work on the form for his shot.;)

Kevin

Perhaps the reason you see Garcia "developing" earlier than Mevin is because he is already getting more minutes than kevin did as a rookie. You can't play/develope sitting on the sidelines.
