Career high in points; career high in rebounds.

Congratulations, Kevin, for a job well done!!!

I didnt know people doubted this guy, but I guess there were some doubts. This game proved that he could play. Lets hope peja stays out longer to show what these young guys can do.

Is he doing well? I had wanted the Pacers to draft him way back when.
On and off says the non-family member. ;)

Tonight he had a great night. Couple of nights ago he had a terrible one. And so its been going. Still don't know where he's going to settle, but he needed a good game here to reestablish himself.

Yes, he looked much more relaxed and played as if he really belonged out there. His line: 18 pts-7 rebs-3 assts-1 stl, and looked pretty darned good while accumulating those #'s. Only downside...he passed on a couple of shots when he was open and time was running down. Being unselfish is not always a good thing. He needed to have the confidence to take those other couple of shots. The rest of his game was great. He played with lots of energy and focus.

In the world of "what has he done for us lately?", he's done very, very well!

He's still got a lot to learn but it was sure fun watching him AND Bonzi AND Cisco tonight.

It's been a LONG time since we Kings fans had that much athleticism on the floor to watch at one time. A VERY LONG TIME!!!

:D

SK had a sweet game tonight, quite impressive

What I personally loved was the mid-range jumper off a screen that was so Hamilton-like (yes I read he watched RH tapes). I hope to see more of that.

Great game by Martin, and by the young guys in general in the last two games. Definitely a sight for sore eyes. We now have some bench players playing well with the starters. Question is, can they play well together?

Still not sold on our bench, production-wise, clearly isn't all there yet. But I've loved these last two games from SK/Cisco, I don't know if it continues though. Hopefully it does.

Yeah, will he ever do it again?
Ah, you miss the historic significance of the thread.

When I post a thread with one player's name in the title and the quote "any questions?" in the body of the first post, it's a way of my acknowledging that the player named has - for this game at least - pretty much done just about everything that could possibly be expected of him.

It goes all the way back to Webber's first game back when he totally dominated the court and it's continued ever since.

I saw you... and I know I heard you "whoop" at least once or twice.

Have any idea how many people are currently sitting in the emergency room with blood spurting from their ears?

I am almost too excited for Kevin because I really think he can do it again, and again. Seeing Kevin and Cisco tear up the Nets was absolutely beautiful. As we have said repeatedly, will these guys develop consistency? I sure hope so. I think so.

It was really nice to see Bonzi and some of the veterans providng emotional support and no-doubt cogent advice on the court to Kevin and Cisco. I'll bet Adelman and company will sleep well tonight.

Yeah I'll get excited when I see him doing this on a regular basis. Francisco and Kevin are starting to spark off the bench. If we could get kenny to hit as well, we'd start looking pretty good.

Thanx for starting this thread, VF21. This will calm down the Cisco-maniacs who, for some reason, when Cisco does something well, they feel the need to go after Martin. Go figure.

What we have learned now is that both players are different in what they'll do on the floor, both have their limitations, and both are capable of contributing mightily to our team's success. Despite having more losses than wins to date, fans need to be a little more patient with ALL of our players, and not be so reactionary.

Speaking of reactionary, any New Fire Adelman material get started tonight?

Just as no one should have christened Garcia the new savior after his GREAT performance against the Spurs, no one should do the same with Martin after tonight. ANY player expecting regular minutes needs to produce consistently, so we'll see how this plays out for all of our bench players down the road.

Great game kiddo.. let's hope tonight was a preview of things to come and not just a teaser game from Kevin. That fadeaway jumper off the curl was sweet!

Oh come on I KNOW you had to love watching him put the knee out on his jumps (let the defender beware) and had to espcially love the contact with Kristic that sent the big man to the wood. Personly I think that was the paly of the game... Kevin sent a nice message to the defense.

Uh, sure thing. Played a great game without a doubt. My point was simply that he often does NOT, and all too often we see a tentative kid looking overwhelmed and unsure of himself, of which the Kings surely do not need any more. And as non-family/family-friend I feel no compunction about sugarcoating that. If he plays every night like tonight, he's golden. If he plays every night like Seattle, he's probably out of the league. Since Soup asked how he was doing in an overall sense, I responded in an overall sense. He has not been consistently great, or even consistently good, yet. He's shown flashes. With tonight being one of the best of them. Now can he consolidate? Can he just go out and play with confidence and leave all the high school jitters stuff behind? The eventual path of his career probably depends on the answer.

I hear you, I just thought i'd point out the physical play we both enjoy. Of course you are right it's only one game and he has yet to be consistant... let us hope this IS a sign of things to come.
