Kevin Martin will be an All-Star this year...

I do not think he will make it this year but is a sure lock for MIP the way he has been playing. I see him having a RIP Hamilton career which is no knock on him. His is my favourite player and one of reasons why I thought about trading Bonzi last year to make room for him.

i'd love to see him as an all star myself (as well most of the people in this forum), but there's a lot more that people will look at other than scoring. he's competing with a lot of other players who score about as many points, but also distribute and rebound better than him as well; so it'll definitely be an uphill battle for him

I know everything

There is no doubt in my mind Martin will be on the All Star team this year. Most likely comming off the bench behind Kobe, but who cares... i really have a feeling hes making the team this year, anybody else have that vibe?..
Funny, you say that....because I have a feeling in my mind that Kevin Martin has ZERO chance to be an All-Star this year.....Mike Bibby has scored 10,000 points in 8 years and has zero all-star appearances to show for it.

What makes you think K Mart goes before Bibby?

And do you really think a 3rd year player who has never started a full season, has never been the focus of any opponents defense, has never average more than barely 10 points, has yet to show any ability to make teammates better...has shown little inclination as a passer or ball-handler...he is going to be an All-Star??? Let's get real.

Now don't get me wrong...he made some sweet shots last nite... drifting floaters...rise in the air and keep body control and shoot an accurate jumper....comfortable launching from "3"...busting out in transition as soon as rebound is snagged...tireless energy running off screens and through picks.....NICE!!! I like that...makes us forget about Bonzi and what he did... Keep it up...K-Mart definitely loves to play @ Arco.

But let's see him put together a string of great games before making him an All-Star. Like around 2 1/2 full seasons worth....

The All Star game is nothing but a popularity contest, as evidenced by the fact that you can be voted to the starting line-up while being out injured all season. As someone mentioned earlier, there are bigger 'names' out there. It will take him a while to gain that type of notority around the league, since he was basically unknown by anyone before this.

K-Mart has had a good few games. But even if he kept up this pace, it still wouldn't warrant a selection with Kobe, Allen, Nash, Parker, Paul, and T-mac if he picks it up all in the West.
