Kenny Thomas for Jamal Magloire?

Nobody out there in NBA land wants KT much less his $40M price over the next 5 years. In Bucks blogs and boards they either harp on getting a PG and a scoring 2/3 off the bench OR they dream outlandish trades for Magloire such as Chris Bosh or Pau Gasol straight up. No where in any fan blog or board did anyone want or even mention KT for Mags or anyone else.

Face it guys, a 6-7 PF who avoids the middle and can score once in awhile is not a hot commodity. And definitely not a starter anywhere that I can see. KT kinda reminds me, sorta, of a short OP. Remember him?

What I see is maybe Artest taking the 4, Bonzi the 3 and Kevin the 2 with SAR and KT off the bench with Cisco, Price and our backup center.......

Which is who---Pot?

Yeah? Go read the Bucks RGM board and ask about KT, some people there like him, and the Bucks are/were considering KT as reported by the media.

What media? could not find one mention in any Milwaukee media online or in the 3 Bucks fan sites/blogs. Would like to know to get the view of KT from the outside.

That wasn't the point of my response, the point of my response was that the media reported the Bucks were/are looking at KT for Magloire. Proof that it was true and not just from the ESPN boards is on page three of that thread, by the way.

Which is how this thread even started. ;)

Artest can't/shouldn't be at the PF for any real length of time. Too small, bad rebounder, and a complete waste of his unique defensive talents.

Probably right tho' Adelman let him take whoever of the opposition was the biggest and shut him down. So it didn't really make any difference what position he started, he always took their strongest scorer and usually shut him down. That then leaves, in many cases, their PF to get guarded by someone else..... which leads us to the real problem.

KT, Garcia, Hart, Potopenko for Magloire, Gadzuric and 2nd rd pick

with the john salmons signing, I think this gives the magloire rumors more life.... the bucks are supposedly looking for a young swingman, a backup point guard and a front court help, in case villenuava does not pan out.... in comes petrie, who has just inked salmons to a deal, which makes Garcia expandable....

GP swings a deal for KT, Garcia, Hart, and Potopenko for Maglorie, Gadzuric and a 2nd round pick in 2007... solves both teams problems... kings get a big man who can rebound and score (Magloire) and a shot blocker/rebounder in Gadzuric....

the bucks get a young swingman to backup redd and simmons, a backup center and pg... and KT who can step in and play PF, incase Villenuava is not ready to start....

Kings would have....

PF Magloire / SAR / Admundson
SF Artest / Williamson
C Miller / Gadzuric / J. Williams
SG Martin / Douby
PG Bibby / Salmons / Price

They wouldn't give both Gadz and Magz, and we most likely wouldn't take on Gadzuric's contract.

thats the trade off... we unload KT contract for Gadzurics contract... KT will get a shot at starting, while villenuava matures.... Gadzuric is the shot blocker, rebounder we need off the bench...

the trade helps both teams get rid of contracts they don't want, and helps them get something they both need...

If this happens, i will have a permanent smile on my face. But chances of this are not good.

KT would not start in Mil. Villaneuva is the better player right now and has the potential every night of doing more than KT. Secondly, the Bucks are only looking to trade Magloire. They have 3 quality centers (Bogut, Magloire and Gadz) and they obviously need a backup center and they know that they will not be able to sign Magloire when he's a FA next year so they want to get something for him now.

Now it's possible include Garcia in a trade:

KT+Garcia+Price for Magloire

And I think a trade for Etan Thomas would be easy, maybe Corliss or some expirings (Potapenko+Hart+Monia f.e.) it's enough to land him in Sactown.

I'd really love it if they got Gadz. Much more so than Magloire really. Although, I agree that its unlikely we get both, and I think they would much rather move Magloire.

But there's actually room for Garcia? There's a lot of young players in the actual roster

Yes there are, but why would Cisco be the designated dumpee? Other than Kevin, I would put him higher up onthe totem pole than any of the other youngsters.

Monia isn't playing for the Kings anymore, he went back to Europe.

Please Geoff, make this trades happened :
- Trade Kenny Thomas for Jamaal Magloire.
- Trade Corliss Williamson for Etan thomas
It will be one of my most beautiful day!!!!

Geoff can try, but the other GMs have to say yes as well to make it happen. :D

I'm sure he has tried very hard moving both of these guys with no takes thus far, hope that changes if we bundle up those "moveable pieces" nice and tight in a package deal. Kind of like the infommericals where if you act now, we'll give you this, this, and this, but act now...this offer is not available elsewhere. :D

I read his interview yesterday and I can say that he will play in Russia ...99.99% .... Monia did not said that he will play there but it was obvious ... it's a pity, he is young talanted, athletic SG ... may be it is a done deal (already) ...

Magloire was the Bucks' starter at center last season, and rookie 7-footer Andrew Bogut started at power forward. But Bogut will move to his natural position of center this fall, and Charlie Villanueva is expected to start at power forward after being acquired in the deal that sent guard T.J. Ford to Toronto. "There are still a number of teams we're talking to," Harris said. "We have contacted two or three teams more than once at this point. "I don't know that there's a resolution, but there are certainly more conversations going on over the last week. Now players are getting signed, free agency is dwindling down and everybody is looking at their rosters. "As I look at it, the 1 (point guard), 3 (small forward) and 5 (center) are the positions where we can add some depth. Hopefully we can accomplish that with Magloire, if we do trade him." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

looks like the bucks need a point guard, small forward and center... maybe a combo of KT and Hart or KT and Potopenko can get maglorie to the kings...

IF we can get the bucks to bite on KT playing some small forward for them, this just might work... and according to hoopshype, KT has played both power forward and small forward....
