Kenny Thomas: Finally!

I've been VERY critical of KT over the past few games, but today, he was just flat out great. Played awesome defense, didn't turn the ball over, grabbed 15 rebounds, didn't turn the ball over...

Props to KT! Proved that hustle can match size at times!

I too have been very critical of KT. His last two games, DET & MINN, gave me a small plate of crow to nibble on. Maybe I've not seen what KT can do with the new group. But it's only 2 games and he is still 6-8 playing the 4.

So with TOR, MEM and SA coming to town with some bigs at the 4 and 5, lets see what he can do and how long Coach keeps him against the 7-footers. I'd love to eat a big plate of Crow in December.

No, but its certainly taller. ;)

Score one for the Bricklayer! In all honesty though, K9 is 6-7 to 6-8 and Rodman was 6-8 to 6-9. Do you really think that 1" will make that big of a difference....I am sensing some size issues with you:D .

You're not seriously trying to compare Kenny Thomas to Rodman, are you?

A) Ok, the Rodman comparisons have to stop. Like now. I mean seriously, the complete lack of persepctive there is just too much. Its like comparing Michael Sweetney to Shaq.

B) And yes, I have been watching the NBA for 25 years and you know how many championship teams have had a 6'7" PF? Right. KT is a lottery PF, always will be a lottery PF, is too small, always will be too small. And not small with bulk or small with hops or small with long arms. Just small. That's his lot in life. And he can rebound. Which is nice. And given Reef's apparent decline that may well make him the better option for a team with other offensive weapons. But he's still too small. Still a middling player with a bad contract and with zero value around the league. And that's not going to change. If his contract was up after this year, would we even try to resign him? I doubt it. There is no long term home for short small low skill "power" forwards who demand to start in this league. They are purely guys who get starts while you hunt around for something better. NBA players. But NBA misfits.

Rodman is about 3 times the player KT is. 15 rebounds for KT is huge. For Rodman in his prime, 15 rebounds was a middling game.

I'd give up pretty much any two players on this team for one Dennis Rodman in his prime.

I've said it before - he's a better defender than Artest. He's smarter and less selfish than Artest. He's a better rebounder than SAR/KT put together.

The guy is a complete animal.

He's exactly what this team is missing - a game changer.

You're not seriously trying to compare Kenny Thomas to Rodman, are you?

Yes, as a matter of fact I am.

As I said before "he is a poor man's Rodman.....o.K. a very poor man's Rodman."

Rodman is like a god to me.

I actually knew Dennis Rodman and, K9 - you sir are no Dennis Rodman!.......

however, K9 can offer us many things (rebs, loose balls, defense) at 6'7" to 6' 8" that many players 2-3" taller cannot because they are just to slow. Now, if you can find an available 6"10" - 7 footer who can move like K9 and who we can afford - then sign me-up.

Think of K9 as the "mini-Rodman." Skills like Rodman - just not nearly as good; attitude issues like Rodman - just not nearly as bad.

While we're at it, we might as well call Brad Miller a mini-Shaq. Not near the post up moves or the defense or the rebounding, but he plays the same position.

Heck, Bibby is a mini-Stockton that shoots too much.

This is fun. ;)

I know what you mean though.

Apparently you have not seen KT in a dress................Trust me they look like they were seperated at birth!!

I always liked kenny thomas. Hes one of those players that do alot without the points and i think every team needs one of those players to win.

But.. i think he had one turnover didn't he? First possession wasn't it a travel??

So much for the Olive Branch.............. A simple no thank you would be fine. As a moderator somthing you might consider.
Why? I didn't say anything to violate the TOS... I didn't even bash the guy; is it so bad that I'm not cheering for him for the same reason that you are?

Yes, as a matter of fact I am.

More like a homeless man's Rodman.

Homeless man's Rodman...Classic!

But jeeze, people bash on KT even when he has 2 good games in a row. Give the guy a break...At least until his next 4 pts 2 rebs typa night.
