anyone know this player?
WOW! super athletic Small forward
could he be a 2nd round sleeper in this draft?
First off, never base any opinion you have on a player off of a youtube video. OK! I could make you look like a star in a youtube video. That said, what you see is, is sometimes what you get, and that youtube video captured the essence of Brownlee's offensive game. He is a very good athlete. He can dunk the ball. But he has no game away from the basket. And for a SF, you have to have some sort of game away from the basket. Brownlee was a junior college transfer in his junior year. And he did play a lot of minutes last season for St. Johns. If he were a great defensive player, I, and I'm sure, most of the NBA scouts would have him rated higher. But he's average at best. His handles are just OK, and he isn't a good passer. Or if he is, he hasn't shown it.

In short, there are far more talented players I would take in the second round before him. I seriously doubt he'll be drafted, and he's prime candidate for the developmental league, or playing in europe.

Having seen him a few times in Big East play, I have to agree with baja. St. John's team defense was at times, stifling, but because of scheme, not individual play.

Yeah, St. John's defense kept them in a lot of games. D.J. Kennedy was one of my favorite players last season. I also liked Burrell. It was a senior driven team with a lot of experience. St. John's should be a pretty good team next season once everyone gets on the same page. They just had one of the top recuiting classes of all the teams in the NCAA. They didn't get one of the top ten guys, but they got around 7 guys all in the top 50 players in the nation. They should be fun to watch next season.
