Just got my Dime Magazine

I ordered when they had the special 81-cent offer and I just got my first issue today with Chris Paul on the cover. Havent really read through it but after flipping through the pages there was nothing too special. However, my 81 cents was well spent no doubt

I'm still wondering why DIME Mag would cost more than a DIME. Seems like false advertising to me.

Starting on page 34, there's a pictorial about Francisco Garcia ... whose nickname back in the day, BTW, was "El Flaco" ("The Skinny"). They show him getting his hair cut at his favorite neighborhood barber shop, flashing his bling - a Jacob watch - and using his Sprint PPC-6700. Then they show up in some Reebok threads, and he says "I chose this outfit to represent and this is how I used to dress back in the day." Finally, there's a picture of him in a suit from Elevee Custom Clothing, where he gets all his "custom suits made by them." He adds, "And this is how I dress when I go to the games so I wanted to match it up a little. The colors go well with my complexion and I chose the tweed jacket so it wouldn't be plain. I wanted something different."

In other words, it's pretty much four pages of Cisco hawking wares for different "IN" labels.

It is Dime magazine. Can't expect much more. I figured 81 cents for emergency toilet paper once a month is a pretty good deal.

I had never seen a copy of DIME magazine before. I have no real problem with it - but I'm glad I didn't pay more than 81 cents for the subscription.

Finally....it has arrived.

Cover price = $4.99

8 issues for 81 cents = $0.10

For that price, I like it just fine.
