I love Chris Paul, but there's no way I'm trading Evans, JT and Cisco for him. But that aside, we would make a trade for Paul unless he came with an extension. That ends the discussion right there. He would never agree to be traded to us with an extension. Also, with an extension, he would make more than all three players your talking about, because he would get the max.

As far as the trade working. It doesn't have to work because we're so far under the cap we can just absorb the difference.

The primary advantage bringing in someone like Paul into our team would have would be to cover up any of WP coaching "decisions" He is established enough to do what he wants no matter what the coach says if the coach is making the wrong choices. However I would like to take our current team and make something of them together. We have the pieces or at least access to them and we have severely underachieved the last couple years and maybe longer. I like both Cisco and JT alot more then just their game because they are good for the team even if they aren't on the floor. JT is a good big man, people harp on his mistakes but he does more good then bad and he can be depended on to do what is asked of him if its asked of him. Cisco is a King, everyone knows he is good in the locker room and he does space the floor when he is hitting them and he can hit them in bunches but I think all the players would agree he is good for the team even from the bench. I think both those guys are picked on on this board and everyone is always looking to make an upgrade instead of building chemistry and finding out why the large amount of talent and potential we have isn't working.... /cough WP.... oops sorry I have a cold...

I think I would too. JT and Cisco are dispensable so they don't really factor in one way or the other. Basically it's Tyreke for CP3 straight up and if he signed an extension that would be tough to turn down. It wouldn't exactly be a no-brainer though as it's the type of trade Tyreke could easily make you regret a few years down the road if he meets his potential.

Valid point, but he looked like pre surgery Paul in the playoffs.

I'm hoping Tyreke gets healthy again and plays like the guy that I wouldn't trade for hardly anyone.
