Joe Maloof interview

quick dog said:
No. He said, "I think Peja wants to stay."

Doesn't matter what he said, Peja already said he wants to stay. Is it a coincidence that he said that for the first time right after Webb was traded? Believe what you want, but I doubt it. There was, as admitted by Maloof, a rift between Peja & Chris. I believe it was on court, versus off court, I think they actually like eachother "as people" but had different ideas about the way the game should go. I believe that Petrie knew he had to make a choice about which direction to go with this team, and he chose Peja. Had Webber been 100% healthy I think he would still be a King, regardless of any problems with Peja, but he isn't, and he's gone. It kills me, honestly, and I have shed many a tear over this decision, and I question whether it was the right choice. But, I love the Kings, and we will have to see how this turns out.
