Jason Thompson

What really drives me mad in case of JT, is that he should be so much better, given the physical tools he posesses. 6'11, mobile and athletic - but has never learned to block shots, never learned how to roll to the rim, never willing to play really physical (turns away from his defender using his jumphook rather than getting into his defender to draw contact and to use his size and strength.....JT you are not Millsap or some other undersized 4!!!), never learned to go straight up to bother shots at the rim, never learned how to defend pick&rolls, never learned how to set proper screens, always commits stupid fouls, cause he uses his hands too much.
JT is the perfect symbol for the Kings over the last decade - soft, mixed effort and no proper development as a player. He is likeable and can defend 1vs1, but more often than not I found myself screaming at the TV, when watching him play.
Nonetheless he is a keeper in my opinion, cause he could be a useful defender for certain matchups of the bench and could play center to back up DMC.

After YEARS of suffering through watching him play like an unteachable moron out on the court, I would celebrate if I never had to watch JT in a Kings uniform again.

Jason makes the same bolt-stupid mistakes he has been making for the past seven years (and 4 years of college).
How can he not know that brushing the ballcarrier on the back when they go up is a foul, and gifts points to the other team? It doesn't affect the shot - why give them free throws? It's been called against you HUNDREDS OF TIME IN YOUR CAREER! How can you not understand that?
Speaking of which - how many times has Jason put both hands on the ballcarrier? It's an instant foul - one he's made countless times, and refuses to learn.

How can he possibly make only 1 of 2 free throws so often?
How can he still be oblivious to the concept of finding your man and boxing out for rebounds?

I'll grant him this - at least he stopped dribbling the ball when he was passed it 5 feet from the basket.
So I guess he can learn something.
It only took him 5+ years to stop doing that - maybe he'll stop doing the others in 10 years or so?

Never been a huge fan of JT until this year when he was playing under Malone. He was pretty damn good playing his role.

Well, given his past coaches, are you really surprised he (ok, pretty much everyone on the Kings roster since Adelman) didn't show any real progress until Malone showed up?
