Tyreke is in the process of putting sac back on the nba map. When Bosh leave toronto, which I think he will, they will be forgotten.
Aside from that, I'm real happy we don't have Turk locked up with that rediculous contract. What a waste of money at this point.
Players come to sacramento every year. And i wouldn't count bosh out completely because if all the money dries up before he gets that max, sacramento becomes 20million more times attractive. It is far fetched that that will happen because even utah has the ability to get bosh via boozer. Basically, All i am saying is, it is physically impossible for every FA this season to get the money they want. GAY-MAX, BOOZER- MAX, WADE-MAX, LEBRON-max, BOSH-max, Johnson-MAX, AMARE-MAX, paul peirce, dirk YAO and kobe have ETO, DAVID LEE wants money, Ginobili wants money. that is near 10 max or close to max contracts, lets take out Amare because he won't be offered enough to leave. Kobe is opting out, Dirk is opting out, PP may or may not opt out, but it is hard to walk away from KG AND 17million. So ~10 MAX level FA.
I would like to ask JJack if there is a scenario in which one of those 10 players pulls water from the well of NBA teams with money; but the well is dry, except for Sacramento?

Well Bosh isn't going to be 10th on anybody's list, and he can always go back to Toronto. So if he's not interested, he'll have plenty of options and just won't be coming.
However we are building somethign pretty good here and have that leader you need to really go places. Unless Bosh ends up taging along wiht LeBron or maybe Wade, there's a good chance he's going ot end up spending the rest of his career looking up at us in the standings. Gotta be careful that thos you disdain are actually inferior.
I don't think its out of the question that Bosh might land here. I seriously doubt it, but its not impossible. Last time I checked Jack wasn't his agent, so I wouldn't be too concerned with his opinion. I would be concerned with the Kings offering Bosh a max salary though. I know a lot of folks would disagree, but I just don't think he's worth that amount of money. Because of the interest on this fourm in Bosh, I've spent quite a few nights watching Toronto play. And while I like him, the word superstar never springs to mind when I watch him play. And to my mind, Max contracts are for superstars, or at least should be.
I know that some don't like David Lee, and in no way am I advocating that we sign Lee. But Lee puts up similar numbers to Bosh. He just does it in a different way. And to be honest, Bosh isn't that much of a better defender than Lee is. This isn't meant to be a bash Bosh post. Its just that I place a different dollar value on him than some others would. If he was a younger version of Kevin Garnett, then I'd give him the bank. But he's not.. Wouldn't mind having him, but for the right price.
I agree to a certain extent. While I would rather have Bosh than Amare, and I think Bosh wll be the best available pf this offseason, I am not at all convinced he's a max player. I watch Toronto a fair amount, and Bosh has a habbit of disappearing. IMO, his leadership is only a step above of Kevin Martins leadership abilities. Last night was a prime example of that, in that when we started to run Toronto out of the gym, you could barely tell Bosh was out there, and I have seen that on a number of occasions.I don't think its out of the question that Bosh might land here. Of course their coach, and personel have something to do with that. But Bosh has stated he see's himself as not only a max player, but as a playr to build around. I don't see that at this point. I don't think he's as clutch at this point as our 20 yr old rookie. He's had his moments, but he's not on the same level as Kobe, Lebron, or Wade. Those three are max players. Bosh is more on the level of Amare and Joe Johnson.
I also don't like the idea of throwing a max contract at someone who plays one side of the ball. We are in desperate need of a center with a defensive presence, and Bosh doesn't help in either of those area's.
There's really no comparison. Lee is a stat padding smallballing center with a somewhat limited skillset. Bosh is the most complete offensive big man in the game. And yes, an obvious max $$ guy. The beauty of a guy like that with Reke is that he can stay entirely out of Reke's way and still do his thing. Of all the top bigs with possible exception of Amare he's the guy who it is easiest to draw up an offense for that leaves him a 20pt scorer at the same time Reke is Reke. Team him with Landry coming off the bench and your frontcourt offense would be absolutely potent.
I'm going to respectfully disagree with that second paragraph, and not just because I don't like David Lee's game, and think that he only puts up those numbers because of the garbage smallball system that he plays in (see Curry, Stephen). I think that the Olympics proved that Bosh is quite a capable defender indeed and, if anything, showed that, like most star/superstar players, he slacks off on defense because he's expected to play such a big role in the offense. Now, obviously, they don't all do it: Bryant is still a top-notch defender, as is James, and they are both the focal point of their respective offenses. But, you've seen how, with players like Anthony, Bosh and Wade (and Pierce, as well, though not in the Olympics, per se), how capable they are at defending when they don't have the burden of carrying a team.I don't think its out of the question that Bosh might land here. Bryant is still a top-notch defender,.
No.... No he is not.
Toronto is in the province of Ontario. It's on the east side of Canada. It's also the music capital of Canada and a VERY diverse city. Kinda like the New York of Canada. (lived in Canada for 2 years)
^^^Kobe's a very good defender. Still is this season. Has one of the better impacts in the defensive side of the ball.
Is he? Then what was the Laker's reasoning behind signing Artest?
