J. J. Hickson signs with Bnei Hasharon of Israel

The decision was made earlier today and gives Hickson the option to resume playing with the Kings once the lockout is over.

Hickson’s decision to play in the Israel-Premier League is another addition to the growing list of NBA players that are not going to wait around for this lockout to end.

There goes another one. Based on how the negotiations have broken off indefinitely, I'm sure we'll begin to see the floodgates open now.

Not good, because it means they think there's not going to be a season. I want to watch the Kings, darn it, I couldn't care less about watching some Israeli team.

Oh, agreed. The part about there not being a season is obviously terrible, but I'd prefer players go play instead of sitting at home. I've almost come to terms with the sheer idiocy of the owners and players, so I'm expecting more players to follow suit and head overseas soon.

I don't really think this is the indication that there's not going to be a season. I think that came when they came out of like 30 hours worth of bargaining sessions in under three days calling each other liars and saying that they weren't talking anymore.

Can you really blame the guy? I would do the same thing if I were in his position. Go play and get my feet wet against some organized competition in Europe and come back whenever this lockout gets situated. This only will benefit JJ IMO. More players should be doing this, Isiah, Honeycutt, Hassan.

Got released today after he was late for the last 3 practice sessions
In heso first and last game game he scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assits. (Although hes team lost 119:80)

Gee, it's always nice to trade for a player with a great work ethic.

Well, i think its because he thought hes going to have holiday in israel, enjoy the beaches and get money for it.. he didnt expect its gonna be Serious.

Unlike Jordan Farmar By the way, who is playing for Maccabi Tel-Aviv, scored 27 points yestrday and Won Real-Madrid in one of the best games ever seen in Eruope, with many NBA players.

Oh, And if anyone still care about Casspi, he signed today in Maccabi again, seems like the Israeli league is enjoying Kings-Cavs transfers now.

I mean it was a good game and all, but be serious man.. one of the best ever? cmon son.

Anyways, JJ said to be homesick and asked the team to be released which is alright I guess(still dissapointing) - but the talk about him giving a half-*** effort, and him missing practices like that and not even explaining himself only after the event is just terrible.

I really hope he wises up and start acting like a pro in regard to basketball, would like it to be in general but atleast once he puts on the Kings uniform.

That seems to have been the attitude of number of the NBA players coming over and I hate that stuff. Its disrespctful and perpetuates the ugly American myth.

At least maybe from a purely tactical standpoint enough guys going over and having sour Euro experiences might add extra pressure on teh union bck hoime to get something done so they don't all have to go there.
