Hall of Famer
I mentioned last night cuz grows more and more frustrated. The more the front office keeps him in dark the more frustrated he will get. Obvious in today's game he has taken two steps back from where he was. I believe this is what this front office wants. They want trade demanded so it can all be pinned on boogie.

Final message to Vivek or Pete, which ever made the call to go down this current road. You have killed this team you stupid ****s

is it really possible that the front office wants to tank this season for one last high draft pick? I know it sounds silly but think about it...it's top ten protected, yes? so if they do keep it...it's a valuable trading asset to get that one player that can take this team over the top, now granted it would help to get a coach but maybe I'm pulling a needle from a haystack here and trying to be optimistic deep down with no optimism in sight.

Well the asset of a draft pick is nice but by then we will have no other assets to pair with it. Landry, Thompson. Outside of thos two no contract would be very much. I said it as a joke during one game about cousins being traded.

Now it's a fear. Even listed in bricks poll tonight the option of cuz not being here next year. In two weeks time the thought of cuz being traded has went from getting you flamed for trolling here to now being a legit concern.

That right there speaks volumes about how this team is being run

The Sacramento Kings were in the news at beginning of the season for all the right reasons. The Kings look good. Not the same ol Kings. DMC growing up.

Now I am seeing article after article from SBNation, Yahoo Sports, ESPN, BleacherReport, etc. all blasting the Kings organization. It's sad to see. Really sad to see. We couldn't have had a more exciting start to the season and a more disastrous implosion at the hands of the front office. I feel for Boogie because if he was on a better team he'd be praised as the next Shaq. Instead he's a piece of a disastrous organization.

You see what can become of Boogies when he's around a good coach (Malone and Krzyzewski), and around good players (the USA National team). He's a guy that wants to win. I'd be throwing people to the ground too. The fact that he hasn't requested a trade is a testament to his character. But I don't want him to end up like KG. Wasting away his prime and then finally winning one late and only having a couple of good years left. Get him a good team or get him somewhere where he can establish himself as the HOF player that he is.

Speaking of a draft pick, this year's draft class is really nice. The top 10 prospects are amazing. You cannot lose if you do draft in the top 10. I don't know if we're tanking, but I doubt we will even have to.

Well, that would be the very Golden State thing to do. Otherwise, Harrison Barnes would be sporting a Jazz jersey.

If we tank this year like the Warriors did and end up with similar success after, I'm all for it.. GSW one of the best teams in the NBA right now.

I don't think so. Boogie has been stuck on a tanking franchise for four years now. We are past that point now, the team has to improve through internal growth, trades and free agency. The next time we start "rebuilding", it'll be without Boogie. I think Pete and Vivek understand this even though they squashed the internal growth option for this season.

As much as we in Europe (let's call Israel "Europe" for this matter) can't get used to it - "tanking" can be valid strategy in NBA...
But not in this case... even drafting superstar can be not enough to fix damage it would do.
First. It's not start of rebuilding when all You're interesting in is stockpiling "talent". You already have player with superstar potential on the team for 4 years, he did great progress last (and current) season and it was looking as team as whole is improving too this year, By tanking you essentially signal that all this was nothing and you're on ground zero once again.
Second. Even if FO/Vivek were feeling that they're not going right direction and there's need for "tanking" another season - it would be huge mistake to talk when season begins that it will be measured by win/loss as then moving to "tanking" mode would certainly cause players to be frustrated even more.
...
But after saying all above I'll have some twist... I just don't think they're "tanking". I think they just didn't understand what devastating impact firing coach will have. When Vivek talked about "winning more games with Corbin" I think it was earnest or at least almost earnest. Maybe he thought - "ok, maybe it will not be more, maybe it will be 2 games less"... he just didn't think it may be 20 wins less.
Now it's not only about real impact/success of Malone, even not about style which doesn't suit the team well... It's mostly about lack of truth and frustration.
It looks like avalanche begins, maybe hiring coach will stop it as noone see anything positive in this season while moving on with "interim" coach...

The thing is, however, that Corbin is no longer an "interim" coach. He is now officially the head coach. I don't think that the FO knows even now what kind of monumental problem they created. Malone seemed to have the team under control and Corbin does not. The move rendered the team non-fuctional. Obviously the FO now cannot fire Corbin, but they need to do something drastic and urgently to save the team. As far as I can understand, the only viable option for them is a mega trade. I just wonder how they will get it done. The Kings are not overflowing with assets. Clearly, to save their butts, they need to produce a major shake up to correct the damage done in the previous one. The one thing that is clear beyond doubt is that you can't leave it like this. Reminds me of the old proverb: "Wise people do not get into situations from which the clever ones know how to get out of". It's too late for that now.
