Isaiah Thomas watch

I'd say Kings make playoffs if they can get Cousins back soon enough but now I don't know with Ty Corbin being the head coach and all.
Impossible OKC has the same record as us and WB/Durrant are flying unless your expecting a Mavericks team which is deeper/smarter and more talented than us at 17-7 (or there about to drop out) the Western Conference top 8 are as good as set.

Dallas Mavericks record against top 7 teams in the West: 0-7

They have had a cake walk schedule thus far.

Lesser talent?

I don't think DC is a lesser talent than IT. Maybe IT is better in terms of scoring points for himself and hogging the ball. But on other areas DC is better than IT.
Maybe you didn't notice the quotes around "lesser talent".

I think IT might have finally met his match, Gerald Green takes the dumbest shot's in the entire NBA, that guy gets hot once in a while otherwise I can't understand how a coach could allow such crap, than again the Suns basically are playing gimmick basketball something we seem to be striving for.

Kinda O/T but didn't Gerald Green torch us big time? (Of course, that could probably be said about tons of chuckers in the league...)

Uh oh...more crap stirring?

NBA source on Isaiah T: "Thomas was not the vocal leader many imagine, but 1 that relishes the nba grind & focuses intensely on his craft."

James Ham ‏@James_Ham 47m47 minutes ago
NBA source continued on Isaiah Thomas: "Rumors of discord created or exacerbated by his hand are widely exaggerated."

Again on the Isaiah Thomas front, both Vivek Ranadive and Mark Mastrov have told me that they loved Thomas. Purely a basketball decision.

That is an odd series of tweets.

I think it's just to stop people from booing tonight, which I don't advocate by any means.

On the court chemistry was bad with him, and that's really all there was to it I think. I mean, they may be underscoring off the court drama, but I tend to think the issues were really just limited to on the court.

At the end of the day, off the court chemistry isn't always that important. It's nice to have. But you don't need to love your co workers.

As long as you include the locker room as "on the court."

;)

Completely off the court, there were never any rumblings. He was active with charities and kids, etc.

More info. - Ham's tweets were in response to these:

John Dickinson @JDJohnDickinson · 3h 3 hours ago
Isaiah Thomas' SAC return tonight: Sources w/in Kings organization tell me IT was "as bad a teammate as as anyone" Sac has seen in past 6 yr

John Dickinson @JDJohnDickinson · 3h 3 hours ago
One source added on Isaiah Thomas that he was "a complete fraud" who "knew when cameras were on & how to fake being a good/guy teammate."

Apparently this John Dickinson guy was formerly on KHTK at one time...since I generally don't listen, I had never heard of him. If that's the crap he's tweeting out, I'm glad I never wasted my time.

There's a big difference between criticizing a guy for aspects of his game and how he views it and totally destroying him.

To be honest, this is more how i suspected he acted.

I never bought the act.

You, sir, are much more cynical than I ... so far. I don't think he was the perfect teammate but I don't think he was the worst. I think this Dickinson person was just trying to generate some controversy on Twitter and perhaps gain some more followers. I have no respect for people like that - and the people in the industry I do respect don't seem to either.

I think the truth lies somewhere between the two extremes that were tweeted today.

But leaning more toward the bad teammate side. ;)

e. other

Loved Omri giving IT a little love tap. If anything, IT's performance tonight proved to me that my opinion of his game was dead on. Regardless of how we played, he would not have helped.

IT is an butthead.... Pure and simple. Has nothing to do with his on court play. From his poor me tweets from months ago, to his on court antics last night. He is an ass.
Do you believe actual Kings players more or John Dickinson?

  • Rudy Gay on Thomas: “No, he stuck to himself. It was a little different last year. He was playing for something, but he was a professional. He’s always been a professional as long as I’ve played with him. All I can speak on is half a season last year and he wasn’t a bad teammate.”
  • Jason Thompson on Thomas: “I think Isaiah was an emotional, fiery guy. He was the last pick in the draft so he had something to prove. He became a fan a favorite. He had a lot of energy, but I don’t see that at all. I don’t think he was a bad teammate at all. He stayed to himself at times, but at the end of the day, we all have to take care of out ourselves and our families for long term.”
  • Thompson on Thomas as a teammate: “I know when I was with him, (he was a) good dude. I don’t have too many people I don’t get along with and he was one that I got along with and could relate to on certain things.”
  • Carl Landry on Thomas: “During the stint that I was here with him, he came to play every night and it showed on the court. He has a job to do and every time he was on the court, he did his job. You guys seen it, he’s a fan favorite still around here. It’s all about taking care of business on the court and that is what he did.”
  • Landry on whether Thomas was a good teammate: “Definitely, he was kind of quiet, stayed to himself, but at times was a leader and that’s what this team needed at that time.”
  • Ray McCallum: “He was a great teammate for me. I learned a lot from him. He kind of took me under his wing. Last year was his third year and he told me everything that he had learned to this point, especially when he was hurt and I got the opportunity to play. He was always there in my ear constantly trying to encourage me and make sure I was doing the right thing.”
  • McCallum on Thomas as a teammate: “I thought he was a good teammate. Yeah, it would be a shock to me to hear that. He’s about the right things. He wanted to help this team win. For me, he was a good leader to learn from.”
  • Devin Blankenship, former director of media relations for the Sacramento Kings on Thomas: “I was lucky enough to work on a near daily basis with IT in and around the locker room his first two seasons in the NBA and I consider him one of the most genuine players I’ve ever encountered. When any staff had a request for him, his only response was always, ‘when do you need me and where? He was respectful to fans, players, staff and coaches, and Sacramento was lucky to have him during his time here, not only as a player, but as a citizen. I never saw anything to remotely hint otherwise, both at home and on the road.”

In other words. Who cares what actual people who interact with him think. I'm sticking with my own guns and nothin' you can do will change that!
In other words, I read what IT says out of his own mouth......not what others say about him. Why is that so hard for a person to understand? I don't like what he has to say.

For 3 quarters he didn't see a shot he didn't take and was sitting on 5 then 8 pts. He went off in the 4th but then so did the whole Suns team. We don't play defense late in games in our new free flowing "system".

I don't think there is anything to be embarrassed or ashamed about but I hope the FO felt some just so they can address the mess they've created.

The league now is playing hot potato with IT. Banished to the celtics.

If all he ever wanted was to be wanted, well, that's not going so well.

I guess he gets his wish to start.

That's not a light, that's Bill Simmon's fever-addled brain! It's on fire!!!

Simmons: I can’t tell you how excited I am for the Isaiah Thomas era. We don’t have any players that are good enough to be threatened by him. This is fantastic. We have Marcus Smart, Thomas, Avery Bradley and James Young locked up through 2018 at less than $22 mill a year. That will be like 3 percent of the actual salary cap! We just need two or three actual franchise players and we’re good to go! RED AUERBACH IS SMILING FROM HEAVEN!!!!!!!

Forgot to mention: Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley grew up in Tacoma together. They’re best friends. You finally have teammates who like you, Isaiah Thomas!!!! Do you think he can be the first player to lead the league in points and assists since Tiny Archibald? I might be setting the bar too high.

IT is going to work out in Boston because there aren't "any players good enough to be threatened by him"?????? Day-um.

I'll put my bet down on Ainge rather than the hyperbolic deranged Kings fans who think Thomas is the root of all evil.
Again, it's not about him being the root of all evil. It's about him never being able to accept being anything less than SUPERSTAR. He had a good chance here to be 6th man of the year but that wouldn't have been enough. IT is his own worst enemy, not the "deranged Kings (or Suns) fans. He'll never be satisfied because he's not comfortable in his own skin and he'll never be able to get rid of the chip on his shoulder. It's a shame, but he's the ultimate example of someone who just cannot let go of the past and realize he's living the dream of millions of guys who never got the chance to play in the NBA.

Rubbish. Idiotic, nonsensical rubbish. The derangement continues. You must be his sibling to know soooo much about Isaiah Thomas and what he will or will not expect and what is inside or outside of his skin. Tell me, does he sleep on the left or side of the bed? Does he floss or brush or do both? How many times a day?
