Some really interesting tidbits (assuming Isaiah is being honest and not just politically correct):
1. Tyreke's improved jumper. Yeah yeah, I know, "we've heard this story before, wait until the regular season" but I thought even during the offseason last year when Tyreke played in those pickup games during the lockout his jumper looked mediocre. For Isaiah to say that Tyreke not only was shooting with confidence in a 5 on 5 setting, but also to say he looked like the best player on the court, is huge.
2. Isaiah stressed that Cousins and Tyreke were the best players on the team and everybody looked up to them for guidance. Our roster is a cluster**** right now of shot-hungry scorers, and since our FO isn't interested in clearing things up, the only way for a cohesive unit to develop is for the cream to rise to the top and FORCE everyone around them to adjust to THEIR style of play. I thought Cousins did that last year, and because Hickson couldn't adjust, he was gone. Tyreke didn't so the backcourt looked like a trainwreck half the time. If Tyreke and Cousins establish themselves as top-level NBA stars, we could possibly see something big brewing here.
What can I say, I'm an optimist. Can't wait for the season to start.
