is CSN MICing the floor differently than they used to?

it seems like your are much more able to hear shouts and voices from the crowd this season. Theus can clearly be heard joking (I think against NY), "that was a travel--he can't make that move, he's not that good"

I think it has more to do with how many people still go to the games. The Knick game had a killer attendance of 12,549. That number doesn't reflect how many season ticket holders couldn't sell or give their tickets away.

That is part of the reason. The crowd noise used to mask a lot. I noticed early on how much of the court talk we can hear now, including the squeaking of sneakers.

The other thing that makes a difference, I really realized when I went to Arco, is that MSE has stopped with the constant music and crowd prompting noise. If the game gets exciting, then it comes in to spur the crowd on.
