Is it okay to be excited?

We are several days away from the preseason, folks! I for one am excited about what the season may bring. I'm glad to see Cousins in a upfront leadership role - not because I'm sure 100% that it will all go swimmingly, but because we actually have a direction and are putting our young, most dominant player up front. I expect the quality of nearly everything the franchise does to be better, even if it doesn't translate immediately to more wins on the floor. I just bought tix to the first preseason game in Oakland against the Warriors (would love to come to Sactown but Oracle is a train ride away...). Go friggin Kings! Sayonara TDOS!

In answer to the question - Yes, it's perfectly okay to be excited. :)

The good news is the product we've been used to has been rock bottom, so they could only slightly suck and it will be like watching a 55+ win team for every other fanbase. There are a LOT of variables from top down and that is always exciting

I it's OK to be excited. I have been at this time every year since it started and this year is already miles ahead of any recent year. And if my Irish optimism wins out folks on this board will be pointing out all the positives and hopeful things they see as we go along. Well, anyway, useful critisism. Go Kings!!!!!

I mean sure...its okay to be excited. For the one saying tank for Wiggins, I'd be perfectly fine with Jabari Parker or one of the Harrison twins. Beside all that, lets see how we play as a team and if the players trust each other out there.

Very much so .. it's ok to be excited. This team is now prepared to begin winning .. It all starts with a new coaching staff, and changing the negative mindset that has been a cloud over this team for quite a few years now. Mike Malone will get things moving in a positive direction relatively quickly, IMHO.

Well, to paraphrase, "If I'm wrong to be excited over Kings' basketball, then I don't wanna be right." ;)

I'm excited for sure. Not expecting wins this season but feeling more positive about the franchise moving forward than I have in a long time.

I don't know. Excitement may reveal lack of intellect. It will reflect poorly on you and your easy to please buddies. Be careful.

;)

I'm excited because I think we may have gotten it right with our draft picks. Neither player is undersized for their position, both appear to play some solid defense.....maybe eventually they will play great defense, it appears that we may have the correct coaching staff to develop these players. Would like to see Landry and GV play with this group before commenting on the offense but defensively, at least in a small sample, the team looks better.

I also like the Rookies for the reasons you state. Ben and Ray look like they belong in the NBA. I am excited to see GV and Landry play. I suspect we will even see a role for Jimmer. Malone and crew wants to put the players in position to succeed AND THEY KNOW HOW TO DO IT.

From watching the first pre-season games I'm thinking Malone is not going to show all his cards until the games matter.
