is bibby doing this on purpose???

That's silly. If Bibby is contemplating opting out this summer, he would be trying to play great. Not to mention, I think Bibby is to competitive and too proud to try and play bad. I suspect his injury is worse than he'll talk about. I just have a problem with him taking so many shots if it is bothering him.

I agree he wants to play good to get the $ if/when he opts out. I think he will be moved soon or will just opt out and we have lots of $ coming off the books. If Bibby is going to play as bad as he is, then sit the guy and get him better. He is not doing us any favors and infact is a huge disfavor to this team with his hand/wrist problems. I rather have Hart out there now then him and that is pretty bad, but true. Price and Douby should also be playing more.

Bibby playing bad on purpose is just not right, but you have to wonder about him jacking up 12 3 point attempts. We are just sucking it up so bad on shooting and are just way out of sync. I cannot look at the schedule and even see a win for us. We plain out suck and need to do something about it quick. A big man would be a great step in the right direction.

Not sure I can add to this thread.

Besides saying its about the most rediculous thing I have heard. Ron-Ron took and made the same amount of shots last night???

Bibby has not been straight all season, Not sure whats up at this point.

To answer the ? NO

The problem is that the wrist will begin hurting him after practice. This limits the amount of daily shots he can shoot. I think I read somewhere that Kmart takes 700 shots a day. Bibby is not practicing his shot, hence the low shooting % . Last year if he had been given that many open 3s he would of had a carreer night. Imo the problem with this team is injuries, we need consistant solid perforances from Miller, Artest, Bibby just to compete. Add it up, we have a combined total of 0 games with a healthy treo of those players. I love my Kings and will be loyal, but it will be a long hard road untill we become fully healthy.

First, welcome to the board!

:D

I think you may have a point. As I mentioned last night, Jerry Reynolds noticed a slight elbow flare in Mike's shot that he hasn't seen before. This could easily be the result of simply not getting enough shots in practice. This further compounds the problem, however, because once you get something like that in your shot, it's tough to get rid of...

It's not gonna pretty the next few games. And it might get even uglier after that until/unless this team can dig deep within themselves and find a way to get a couple of wins.

And it's gonna be just as important that the fans dig deep within themselves, too, and find a way to keep supporting the guys out there night after night.

This is all coming back to the discussion we had when Bibby first incurred this injury. There were some of us that felt our team needed Bibby out there even with the injury. Then there was the other group of fans, myself included, that felt he should just sit out until he is 80-100% healthy.

I stand by my original statement that by playing, there is the risk that the injury could get worse. Additionally, by not sitting, the wrist can't heal as quickly as possible.

Let's be honest here. Bibby isn't out there because of his lock-down defense. He is out there to score, and set up other guys to score. And although there is a good chance that our record would be even worse had Bibby not played, it can be argued that he is hurting us more by trying to play through it.

It's not like anyone does the right thing, but in this case it would be much better to just sit him down until his wrist is healthy. Then, once he is ready, he can practice better, and therefore play better.

Just a couple pennies.

i cant see Bibby dogging it on purpose. The guy is playing hurt as many of us, fans, want him too. If he just sat out for the past two weeks would everyone be happier.

Is there a remote chance that Bibby, Artest, and Miller are trying to get Musselman and the coaches fired?

If they are, at least two of them should be up for Academy Awards. They've got me convinced they really, truly stink right now...

;)

Whenver I have developed a hitch in my shot, one of the best things I could do is just GET AWAY from shooting for a week or two...

that allows the muscle memory to take a larger role and I don't THINK about how I am shooting, I just shoot...and I tend to get better results...

I think Bibby should sit and get healthy for a few games and come back and go...

Wow, this is a sad state of affairs and it seems to be a repeat on this board. CWebb, Peja (who I never really like anyway),but now Mike?...damn, I would HATE to see him go. Just last year he single handedly carried us when NOBODY else would step up..went for career highs on 3 different occasions if I'm not mistaken. Welcomed Ron, Ron and then they got a playoff spot. As far as I'm concerned he's all I have left of the KINGS. To me the problems stem from yes, his injury AND the type of game Musselman tries to run. That slow down, walk it up, nobody cutting or moving game is TERRIBLE. Not to mention Artest thinks he's Lebron or Kobe. If I see him jack up another 3 pointer or crap off balance jumper I'm gonna scream. D-up, rebound, move without the ball and maybe you'd get some easier buckets. Nobody can handle Artest going to the basket. Maybe I am a little biased, but Mike leaving Sac would be terrible. JMHO. :(
