Interesting thoughts about John Salmons being signed

i lurk here a lot and this is my first time posting. something interesting that i thought of was this... i dont recall seeing any rumors posted here or anywhere about him being signed. i may be wrong, but i sure haven't seen anything about this until it happened. i find this very interesting because people are discrediting him so much and trash talking GP. but if this was kept so tight lipped, especially with how much everyone on here wanted any news they could get, isn't it possible that Petrie has something else up his sleeve?

yeah, we usually get heads up that SOMETHING will happen, as VF21 has good sources, and sometimes within a good timeframe (as we did with the Salmons signing) but it's normally very hush-hush.

exactly... so as much as everyone hates TDOS, Kings fans hate it more because they dont even get rumors. so we really dont know what Salmons will bring

besides... everyone's bashing Salmons, but we need someone who can back up Bibby. And he'll be able to back him up and probably be fairly consistent while doing it.

I don't think it's clear Salmons wiill be the back-up PG. Price/Douby could well get it, or they split time.

There wasn't much, if any, time for rumors to spread. He only bowed out of a deal with Toronto a couple of days back.

One of the members here has a source that knew about it, but of course that's cheating.



As an aside, I mentioned to someone else recently that I am not at all sure I WANT anymore guys we haven't mentioned involved in these deals, because at one point or the other the people on this board have mentioned just about every decent player in the league.

Not bad. Not bad at all. And I do agree with the original post that if we didnt know about this until it happened, then what makes everybody think that he doesnt have another stew brewing.
