This was from about.com btw

Since the San Antonio Spurs wrapped a thrilling NBA Finals win over the Detroit Pistons on June 23, the NBA has become synonymous with labor negotiations, heart conditions and dress codes. Quite frankly, we've had enough and we're thankful it's finally time to start talking about who's going to do what this season on the court. Here's our forecast for the 2005-06 NBA season, including who'll walk away with the NBA Title in June (no repeat this time around!), as well as all the individual awards the NBA dishes out. Based on how right we were last season, we advise you take the following predictions with TWO grains of salt!

I do not expect that to happen, but it is my dream (except, of course, the Kings defeat the Pacers in 6 or 7). :D

i'd rather the Kings lose in the first round than get to the Finals and lose..

wow, on a closer look their last year final prediction was only off by one game...hope they are off by 3 games this time

yeah right..... rockets beating the spurs in 6..... whatever....

but yeah the kings would have to beat the pacers, then again artest would kill peja..... so i could see us losing..... wouldnt mind it either, just to see them in the finals.....

lol @ suns 47-35 record..... maybe amare came back too early after his injury, lol.....

Kingsville...not sure things are going to work out this way. But, Would be great if the Kings got that close to a ring this season. Anything could happen this season but I would LOVE to see the kings succeed.

Umm- That's pretty awesome but what is that guy smoking?

Must be the same thing I'm smoking because I see the same thing.
Too early to face reality, let everyone smoke and fantasize.

Assuming that SA will win its division, which will most likely happen...Sac needs to win the Pacific so that it can be on the opposite side of the bracket of SA and the soonest we'd play SA is in the conf. finals. If that happened, then there's a good chance to get to the WCF and perhaps the NBA Finals.

I don't know about good chance, but a chance. Winning the division will definitely help the cause. Much less chance of getting knocked out in Rnd 1, and can hope for the good Rnd 2 matchup (although its not clear who we would really want out of Denver/Houston/Dallas/Phoenix (with Amare).

You're right. The longer we can go without seeing SA the better and who knows what might happen to SA in rounds 1 & 2. Then again PHX may be a dangerous team come playoff time if they are just rounding into form assuming that Amare comes back in Feb-March and is back to his old self. However, without Amare I don't PHX doing much in the playoffs since they can't stop anyone down low without him.
