If it is really true.....

that Oden is the next great big man and can offer a team many wins for years to come, then I have an idea. The Cavs should throw every game the rest of the season and get as many ping pong balls as possible to get the guy. Imagine, Lebron and Oden for years to come. Two mega-super stars dominating the NBA year after year, winning ring after ring and they are both from Ohio.

Sure, the Cavs are good this year and they would be throwing a playoff season away. But who cares? They do not stand much of a chance to win it all this year. Who really wants to be just in the playoffs anyway? Instead, they forgo this year in the playoffs and they get Oden as the real prize. They would stand to win countless titles in the next 10-15 years. It is a once in a generation opportunity that they would be foolish to let slip away.

Talk about your rebuilding!......should I e-mail this to the Cavs GM?

Not a bad idea actually. But the Cavs, unlike our sad sacks, are in a position where one major injury to Dirk could open the door for a darkhorse championship run.

And you kupman are obviously either quite young or just turned a very blind eye when the likes of Shaq, Hakeem, Ewing, the Admiral used to come up in the draft. Everybody knew. Everybody with eyes to see of course. Entire eras for franchises defined by one HOF draft pick. Our only mistake back then was picking the wrong year to get he #1. If David Robinson or Shaq was there for the taking instead of a year with no great players, everything would have changed overnight of that franchise. This year that guy is there, with friends.
