When players play and how many minutes they play is going to be a function of how Karl thinks they will match up against the opposition. OK, maybe he'll start the same guys each night because it's politically correct, but I think he's going to have a quick hook to get the matchups he likes, and the 4th quarter is going to be all about matchups. Sometimes, he'll play Cousins and Koufas at the same time (like against Gobert and Favors), sometimes he'll have WCS in there at the 4, 5, and maybe the 3, sometimes Collison, sometimes Rondo, sometimes McLemore, etc., it will all depend. The interesting angle for me is what players he will play against whom? What matchup will he feel comfortable with in putting WCS on the floor? Will it be mostly against a stretch 4 type, maybe a 3 without a lot of mobility? Will he possibly play Koufas when it's more of a conventional back-to-the basket 4? When will he play the passing Rondo over Collison who is a better outside shooter? When will he play both at the same time? It will probably be a good 20 games into the season before we can discern how exactly Karl is going to matchup against the opposition.
