Ben Simmons will win rookie of the year by a landslide. But if we're just talking about the guys drafted this year...
Fultz has looked bad. Much worse than anyone could have predicted. That FT stroke...
Lonzo Ball is struggling with exactly what everyone thought he would struggle with. Shooting and defense. His D is ahead of hit shot though. His rebounding and passing are elite.
Tatum looks good so far. Pretty much what I expected him to be. Good scorer, rebounder and defense has been acceptable from what I've seen. 2nd best rookie.
Josh Jackson looks a bit more raw than I thought he would. You can see the talent is there to be a complete player but it's going to take some time.
Fox, we've already discussed a ton.
Isaac looks a bit worse than I expected but nearly everyone expected him to be a project so his slow start is not surprising.
Markkanen is the surprise of the top 10 for me. Scoring wasn't a big concern but he's rebounding at a much higher level than I expected.
Ntilikina hasn't played a ton but he's a project, much like Isaac. Probably wont see what this guy can do for a couple years.
DSJ has been roughly as advertised. Small sample size but his playmaking has been better than I expected.
Zach Collins hasn't played much.
Malik Monk has been awful. Seems like he goes 1-8 from the field every night.
Donovan Mitchell's efficiency has been atrocious but this guy has a Marcus Smart type stamp on the game where he can go 2-10 and still have a positive impact.
John Collins is going to be a solid player for a long time.
OG Anunoby looks like he should be as advertised. A lot of us here wanted him at 15.
Kuzma is the real deal. Damn Lakers.
Semi Ojeleye is a guy a lot of us wanted with our 2nd round pick. Doesn't look like much so far.
Jordan Bell looks like Draymond Lite. Damn Warriors.

Huh? How can you possibly put Lonzo over DSJ or Fox?
This vaunted rookie PG class has been pretty bad overall to start, but Lonzo has been complete garbage. Just depending on people thinking counting stats mean anything
Ball- 19.7% USG, 21% TOV rate, 31.3% AST rate, 11.3% TRB (awesome for a guard) 38% TS %, .122 FTR -0.027 WS/48
Fox- 27% USG, 12% TOV rate (awesome), 8.8% TRB (Very good), 32.3% AST rate, 45% TS, .154 FTR, 0.016 WS/48
DSJ- 25% USG, 17.7% TOV rate, 39.1% AST rate, 5.4% TRB, 47% TS, .344 FTR, -0.016 WS/48
Basically everyone been bad, but I really, really, really like the fact that Fox is protecting the ball with a monster USG rate and still getting his teammates involved with a solid AST rate. No one will continue to shoot this bad, and I fully expect Fox and Ball's Free Throw rate to pick up, but I value that USG-TOV-AST rate trio of stats for the PG quite a bit and Fox has been far ahead of his fellow rookies in that regard thus far.

Boy, I don't remember anyone saying that Tatum couldn't play. I know I had some reservations about Markkanen, but never said he couldn't play. My concern was whether he could defend and rebound. Never doubted he could shoot. Tatum I liked a lot and would have been happy with him if he was our choice.
