The song on the radio by the Black Eyed Peas.

I don't know the true name, but if I hear "My lumps, my lumps, my lumps, my lovley lady lumps!" one more time, I'm gonna stomp the radio into a smoldering pile of rubble.

Sugar, Sugar - The Archies

That was my favorite song...when I was in first grade.

How about "Rico Suave" by Gerardo ...he went to my high school..he was a freshman when I was a senior.

"I Think I Love You" - The Partridge Family

Speaking of videos and that horrid song Cherry Pie, does anyone remember the video? That white-trash girl in it, Bobbie Brown who was all the metal band's favorite video vixen. I can't believe in hindsight how bad some of those metal videos really were.

That wasn't metal. ;)

As far as more quasi-80s metal went, let's just say that there were enough unintentionally funny videos to keep Beavis and Butthead going for 4 years.

You'r Killing me Al! Next thing you will list Wild Horses by the Stones ;)

Welllllllllll...........

Actually, it's not that I hate the song at all. It's just that I think Gram Parsons (when he was with The Flying Burrito Brothers) did a far better job with it. Mick beats him with actual singing skills, but he should have kept the vocal histrionics out of this one. Gram kept it simple and genuine, and it almost sounds like he's about to cry when he's singing it. Once I heard Gram sing it, I stopped listening to the Stones version.

The Burrito Brothers recorded Wild Horses before the Stones did, although there are different reports as to how that happened. But Parsons and the Stones were good friends at that time.

Good to see you arround Brian, was watching Better off Dead the other day and though of you. The BB version of Wild Horses is cool, but for my money I'll Take Old and In The Way's version... just can't beat Grisman's mandoline!

The Sundays did a pretty good cover.

Why not include showtunes in this thread?? "There are worse things I could do" sung by Rizzo from the musical 'Grease'. What stupid song with the most annoying melody, and it doesn't fit the character at all.

Bob Marley's Iron, Lion, Zion.

he's okay, but.. i don't know, there's something about that song that bugs the hell out of me...

and crossroads by bone thugs, especially the start of the song where it goes bone bone bone bone bone... it really makes me laugh..

oops, if you must, however, the definiton of showtunes are songs from musicals, not TV shows.

I coulda sworn Three's Company was on Broadway before it hit Hollywood ;)

Okee-dokee ... well, I can play by them rules ... how'za 'bout ANY ITALIAN OPERA SONG :p

Wow, showtunes...... a million thoughts.....I'd have to start with one I never figured out....."I Don't Know How to Love Him" from J. C. Superstar. (Obviously showing my age here)
